Beautiful Park Like Setting

We came into the park on a Wednesday in mid September and found that over half the spaces were open. We grabbed a spot about 60 feet from the lake.

The camping sites are large enough for a tent and a couple of vehicles. There are a few larger sites here and there. Sites are very close to neighboring camp sites so Privacy is poor

There are very nice bathroom facilities with hot showers, dish rinsing sinks and hot showers.

The view from the lake is amazing. We walked to the beach every morning with our chairs for coffee. VERY RELAXING!

There is a building near the entrance of the state park that says its a store but it looks pretty old and closed.

The young lady who delivered our park permit was exceptionally friendly and helpful. However, the people that clean the restrooms are about as polite as construction workers in Queens. They do have a garbage dumpster but it is located about a mile from the campground. Not very convenient for tent or van camping.

Overall the price charged for the sites seems higher than the value received.

Loved this place

We have a small, 16 ft camper and really enjoyed the campground. We enjoy being in places where it doesn’t feel like a trailer park so state parks work best for us. This campground has many sites with views of the lake. Highly recommend it!

Nice campground, choppy water!

I spent three days at this campground in July of this year during COVID. The check in staff was great and wore masks. The bathroom and grounds staff did not wear masks, even when in the bathroom with other people in there, so that was pretty disappointing. I stayed mostly on my site except to try kayaking a few times. The water was very rough because of large boat traffic, but it was still lovely. Not a lot of people on the grounds because of COVID restrictions at the time, but the campers that were there were respectful. No electricity or running water at the site. Site was a little tight for two vehicles and a tent. I camped with another adult, so no feedback about how family friendly the rest of the campground is, but all in all, I'd camp there again!

Very quiet

Nice staff. Great because privite beach just for campground. They offer a laundry mat. Also a few negative as well. Mostly seasonal over 60 with no planned activies, no store, and lack of any entertainment. Not ideal for families with children.
