Trickey Pond stretches out beyond the small beach at Loon's Haven Family Campground, where seasonal campers occupy most sites and day-to-day operations center around pond activities. The campground sits on a compact layout with full hookups for RVs and access to crystal-clear water that draws families for swimming and boating.
Campers consistently note the exceptionally clean bathhouses, which stand out among the amenities. A rope swing hangs from trees on one of the pond's small islands, accessible by boat, while a larger swing operates from a platform across from the beach area. The on-site playground provides additional recreation, though the small beach fills up quickly during peak times. Peter F. found it a "quiet campground with great campsite amenities."
The gate closes at 8 PM and requires a key card for re-entry, something not always mentioned at check-in. The Lazy Loon Cafe operates Thursday through Sunday only, and the camp store closes before its posted 8 PM hours on some evenings. A 10 PM curfew applies to children being on their sites. Road conditions can be rough, and seasonal campers may vocally enforce the 5 MPH speed limit.
This setup works well for families planning pond-focused stays who don't mind the predominantly seasonal crowd and appreciate clean facilities over extensive programming.
