This is one of the nicest parks I have stayed at. Right off the freeway but far enough back you can't hear traffic. 32..00 a day. Dan and Debbie's are great hosts. They make you breakfast and bring it to your RV in the morning. The entire property is maintained A plus. There is antiques all over…
We camped in the Hobie Cove campground and the site itself was OK. Not a lot of choices for sites that are flat or offer a lot of shade. We did have a good time though exploring the area.
This is our second time camping here and the new bar/restaurant across the lake kills an overall good…
I thought it was really cool that Kansas has fishing lakes with designated free campgrounds surrounding them. We were there during a very dry spell and smoke detector went off in our van because our windows were down and the dirt road leading to the lake was so dusty. We pulled in late evening and…
Utility camping is a little close together for my liking. Still decent overall.
We had a wonderful stay! Wonderful pull through spots, great views, and closer to the boat ramp!
Several loops to pick from but all of them have beautiful grounds! Spacious between campers and water hookups!
Bob and Diane were wonderful hosts!!! So kind and helpful!!! Sites were beautiful!!! We had a spot right near the grassy area with the woods right behind us!! Fireflies at night wonderful!! Great water hook up and electric site! They even came back with ice for us twice!!! Everything is very clean…
Nice place. Tight quarters and you will need to use your levelers.
The campground is a typical KOA or Good Sam campground - clean, grass well trimmed, easy access, with some open spaces. The biggest drawback is an active train track about 30 yards from our site. Bout lost my lunch when the train blew its whistle which felt like it was in my ear!
Nice state park on the lake can be crowded and a little crazy on weekends. Like most state parks no sewer hookups but easy access to dump station
I visited the lake Wednesday/Thursday before 4th of July (Sunday) while passing through out west. Had difficulty find a place for a 6x10 cargo conversion camper. Most areas are muddy after rain. Overall quiet but expect locals to be in and out during summer months letting in kayaks and fishing.…
Stayed here for a couple nights, its a nice campground but fairly busy with close proximity to Manhattan and Fort Riley as well as the ORV park. Predominantly RV campers and off road rigs. We were able to snag a drive up tent spot and had no neighbors which was nice and relaxing.

Set up my nice brand new tent on Sunday. Confiscated by Rangers on Tuesday while I was at work. My animals were sent to the Humane Society & sterilized. (Breeder meat rabbits). They claimed they had the authority to enter the tent to see if anyone was sick or dead. My name & phone number…
Covered pavilion with a view of the lake. We happened on it thru Dyrt on our way out to Yellowstone and it fit our needs exactly. Close to I-70, but you felt away from everything. Highly recommend.
Had a great time here. Beautiful spot. Trees for hammocks. Access to the water. Safe cove of water away from boats. Big area. Near trails
