Best Campgrounds in Kansas

Came in May so the area was super green and beautiful. Restaurant next door and they have pizza and beer at the office. Very small town and far enough off the hwy were noise wasn’t a problem

Easy on/off; very close to interstate. A lot of road noise. Very peaceful other than that. No longer affiliated with KOA. Mostly level sites. Nice playground. Electrical stations in good repair. Trees and grass keep the campground cool.

This seems like a beautiful place to stay, but they will allow no car camping. You must have a tent.

This is the PERFECT spot for overnight stop. In town, beautiful park. Donations only with electricity at the sights. Only a few sites for rigs.

We are slowly making our way to Montana and decided to stay for two nights. After seeing the campground we changed our plans and stayed a week. We were parked across from the dog park as requested. The laundry facilities were good and reasonably priced.

This place is set up like a picnic area more than a camping area; no electric, no water. no particular camp spots, complete boondocking style. A favorite local fishing spot, but cleared out by nightfall. No flush toilets and pods were pretty filthy while I'm here, but it's early in the season. Surely they will have them cleaned up and window replaced in men's before season really starts. The toilets are the reason for just avg rating. Everything else was very nice.

I like to primitive camp and this place is perfect for that. I stayed 3 days

Nice little place and see they have water and electricity hookups that you have to pay for. Nothing special kind of an Intown Park but a nice place to stop if you're traveling

Very nice campground. Can not beat the price. 15.00 for 30amp service. Surrounded by trees along a river in a nice little city park. Will definitely stop again if i ever pass through.

Campground is small (6-7 spots) and right off dirt road. That said, quiet evening with one other couple camping. If full, would feel crowded. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table and there is a vault toilet. Lots of birds and had a Barred Owl fly right past me while I was setting up. Campground is adjacent to the Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife area, largest wetland in the interior US and important migratory bird location. About 45 minutes off I-70.

these tucked away municipal campgrounds are amazing for peace and quiet. It’s early spring, so temps still getting cold overnight, having hookups keeps me toasty all night without having to run my generator!

The campground have 30 and 50 AMP hook ups, and water. The dump station is by the entry, the have a playground, disk golf course shelters, volleyball and basketball courts. Nice and quiet located on the side of the town. The bathroom where close i assume they will open later in the season. I didn’t see anyone, but they have cameras at the entrance. Caseys gas station in a walking distance from the campground. And the best is only $15 a night. $10 just to dump and only $3.50 for primitive camping.

Loved the cleanliness and location! Great stop on our way to Utah. Will definitely stop again!

The bathrooms and office are close during winter season, There is a nice beach area and playground in the park. easy self pay Kiosk. Roads and camp spots in good condition. We had a peaceful and quiet night. About 20min from Fort Scott National Historic Site.

Throughout the day, there was about three people fishing. It felt like I had the place to myself. I’m not sure if it was because it’s just March and nothing’s quite green yet, but the lake was peaceful.

At the time I was there, the waterfall was dried up and I was able to take a trail down to the bottom and see everything up close

I like to rate all of my campgrounds whether I would or wouldn’t camp there again and I can’t wait to take some friends there
