This 40 acres campsites are located on a peninsula in the Lake Red Rock, Iowa, USA. It is about 50 miles in the capital city Des Moines. There are 4 campsites within a 40 acres fenced hilly land with three and half private ponds for fishing and 10-acre timber tree area. This is the place to go if you want get away from the crowded camping sites.

All of 4 campsites have a fire pit with a tripod for food cooking and a picnic table. Site 1, site 2 and site 3 are on top of the hills with a beautiful view of ponds and lake, and site 4 is in woods with has full shade. there are walking trails in woods.

The are also a lots to do nearby the red Rock lake areas. The Whitebreast swimming Beach, Red rock lake boat ramp, Historic Coal Ridge Church, Stu Kuyper hiking trail and Youth park are within one mile from our camping site.

Tri-Pond camping are the perfect campsites for family relaxing camping, Van-camping, road trip stops, friends gathering, or come and stay for local events in the nearby cities, such as in Des Moines, Newton, Pella, Knoxville, Oskaloosa, Monroe, Pleasantville, Indianola etc.. TulipTime, hot balloon Festival, car race...

Notes: You will need bug repellent during summer. We do not use any chemicals on site. Ticks are common during earlier spring and summer in grassy areas and woods, but not usually found during Fall and Winter. There may be hunting gun sounds near or far during hunting seasons, but absolutely no hunting or trapping on our camping ground.

Tri-Pond camping

Island View Campground is located on beautiful Rathbun Lake, just nine miles northwest of Centerville, Iowa and 8 miles southwest of Moravia. Lake Rathbun camping is a popular activity at all times of the year. Fishing is also popular: The 11,000-acre lake provides a variety of fishing opportunities for any angler: Crappie, channel catfish, walleye and largemouth bass are most common. The prevailing winds on Rathbun Lake, also known as Iowa's Ocean, make it one of the best sailing lakes in Iowa. Facilities This large campground offers 187 family sites and one group site, all with electric hookups. Three group picnic sites are also available. Amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water and a dump station. A boat ramp, dock, marina, playgrounds, and horseshoe pit are all on-site. Natural Features Rathbun Lake is situated in the gently rolling hills of the Chariton River Valley in southeast Iowa. The campground consists of open grassy areas dotted with trees. Bald eagles, white-tailed deer, Canada geese, wild turkey and other wildlife can be found at Rathbun Lake. Island View Campground—Lake Rathbun

Bridgeview Park is located on beautiful Rathbun Lake, just 13 miles northwest of Centerville, Iowa. Camping, boating, swimming, fishing and picnicking are popular activities at this waterfront recreation area. Recreation The 11,000-acre lake provides a variety of fishing opportunities for any angler. Crappie, channel catfish, walleye and largemouth bass are most common. Whether power boating or sailing, Rathbun Lake, also known as Iowa's Ocean, has something to offer everyone. In particular, the water's prevailing winds make it one of the best sailing lakes in Iowa. Facilities This large campground offers 106 family sites, 95 of which have electric hookups. A day-use group picnic shelter for up to 24 people is also available. Amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station, boat ramp, playground and horseshoe pits. ## Overview

Prairie Ridge Park is located 6 miles, SW of the Jct of Iowa Highway 5 and J18 at Moravia. Awesome Sunsets- No Extra Charge! Rathbun's off-the-beaten path park offers unique opportunities for lover's of the outdoors. Nestled between Buck Creek and Honey Creek, the high ridge offers wonderful vistas of the lake while surrounded by Iowa's Natural and enhanced prairie life community, with woodland draws and timbered hillsides.

## Recreation

Prairie Ridge Boat Ramp is protected on three sides and has been long popular with both motorized craft and a launching area for wind surfers and catamarans. A courtesy dock with fish cleaning station aid families on and off the water.

## Facilities

Fifty-four family friendly, Large, campsites are available in two seperate camp areas. Two shower houses, drinking water and RV dump stations is available. A modern playground offers activities for our younger visitors.

## Natural Features

Rathbun's most extensive trail, eight miles in length, takes hikers and bikers into Iowa's wild, and links to Iowa's Premier destination park at Honey Creek Resort. 

## Nearby Attractions

The park is within a few minutes of lake conveniences, bait, dining, and fuel. Rathbun's fish hatchery is open to the public on weekdays. Groups are encouraged to make appointments. 14 minutes west, on Hwy S70, one of Southern Iowa's best off-roading opportunities is at the 125 Acre Rathbun OHV Park. There's even a tot lot beginner's area. Search Rathbun OHV Park on-line for actual dates of operation and applicable rules.

This campground offers 42 sites with electric hookups. Amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station, boat ramp and playground. A marina and bait shop are located nearby.

## Overview

Whitebreast Camp is located on Lake Red Rock, Iowa's largest lake. It is just 10 minutes from Pella, known for its Dutch heritage, and 15 minutes from Knoxville, the Sprint car capital of the world. Visitors enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, biking and viewing wildlife.

## Recreation

Lake Red Rock offers excellent boating, water skiing and swimming opportunities. Miles of water trails for kayakers and canoeists are designated along the shoreline. Anglers will find crappie, walleye, largemouth and striped bass, channel and flathead catfish, northern pike and bluegill. Several miles of trails for hiking and biking are in the area. The 15 mile paved Volksweg Trail stretches west from Pella to the Des Moines River and to the Cordova Recreation Area

## Facilities

This large campground offers 132 campsites and two group sites, all with either 30 or 50-amp electric hookups. Amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station and boat ramp.   
  
Younger campers love the park's playgrounds, and the Whitebreast Beach is nearby.  
  
Two day use picnic shelters are also located within the Whitebreast Camp area. The Whitebreast Point shelter is a conventional open shelter and the Miner's Retreat shelter is a small enclosed shelter.

## Natural Features

Lake Red Rock is situated on the Des Moines River. Hardwood forests cover the lake shore at Whitebreast, offering shade and scenic views. Wildlife is abundant around the lake. A wide variety of waterfowl, including the American White Pelican, migrates through the area in spring and fall. Bald eagles can be observed from November through March. White-tailed deer, turkeys and other small animals are commonly viewed around the lake.

Des Moines, Iowa's capital, is an hour away, with numerous shopping and dining opportunities, museums and the Blank Park Zoo.
