Great for a Newer Campground

I was always hesitant to camp here with it being new with no mature trees. Surprisingly with it's location in relation to Hwy 20, it's actually pretty quiet. There is a paved trail that'll take you over to the lake so it's not a bad walk. Shower houses are clean and well maintained. The fire rings have rotational grates attached for cooking. There are lots of wildflowers during the summer around the outer edges so butterflies and small birds can be seen quite often. It's a nice place for families with a good playground. It can fill up quick for holiday weekends but generally has plenty of open spots otherwise.

no shade campground

Grundy County lake camp ground has a separate entrance from the lake so follow signs on road past park. 37 electric camping pads with water spigot every other pad (you must share although seen alot of rude people hogging the water) no sewer hookups but, there is a dump station. NO SHADE at this campground (a few new trees so in about 10-20 years maybe shade)  Nice little lake but, its a little walk or drive from camp ground.
