Nice, quiet campground. Very low cost ($15/night with water & electric). Not a far drive off of I-35. Has a pool if you’re into that kind of thing.
Stopped here on my way to Nebraska and it did the job, but would have driven further to a rest stop if I had the energy. Train comes through around 3 and 5am blowing its horn for 10 seconds. You’re also surrounded by homes so you hear the families and their dogs. There’s electrical, water and…
Very pretty and clean. We got in pretty late, staff was awesome even showed us to our spot. The park looked nice, only thing some spots looked really close together. Our spot was big right by the park area. We wish we could’ve stayed longer.
This place is wonderful. The staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating. Facilities are all very clean and well taken care of. The pool is a great bonus!
Thanks to feedback received on The Dyrt Forum, we discovered this campground close to our home. This is one of four CoE campgrounds around Saylorville Lake and likely the most popular, probably due to having direct beach access.

Some full hook ups, sites not very level, playground ok. Can hear shots from gun range next door. Dog park, pool, arcade. We have camped here a couple times, and stored our rig here for a while. Didn't find there was that much going on here to keep us busy. Not a lot of nature, no trails or biking…
This lake is great, lots of fishing spots and camping spots
Clean and host was nice. Kids had a fun time and want to come back. Close to the interstate and easy to get to. Only downfall if I need one is the campsites are closer together and it’s close to an highway so you can hear cars driving by but it’s rural Iowa so there aren’t that many.
This is a small city park, great for a weekend stop or a traveler passing by on Interstate 80. This camp is just about five minutes off of the interstate. It is clean and well taken care of. The biggest downside is that the camp is right next to the railroad tracks, so if you have small kids or…

This is a small campground just off interstate 80. Smaller and quaint. Has a swimming pool and playground. Basketball court and a community hall. It's a great place. Doesnt have the overcrowded, large campground feel to it.
In a grove of trees in a slightly hilly area. Easy access, but sites are gravel. Nice bit of grass with each site, most are at least partially shaded. Small dog park which is pea gravel, not grass.
This is a nice small camp area that only has one downfall: a lack of wind break. We went when the wind was blowing in typical Iowa summer fashion. The grounds are peaceful and there's lots of great plant and flower spotting. When we were there, there were only a few small bass boats on the water,…
