Pleasant stay when enjoying activities outside campground

Difficult to find entrance and difficult to locate camp site. Pleasant staff. Full hookups. Best if enjoying Adventureland Amusement Park or Prairie Meadows Casino and Racetrack. Not recommended if wanting to enjoy a true outdoors camping experience.

Good One Night Stay

This RV park is right off the interstate but far enough you won’t hear the noise. I can’t tell you if they are actually Iowa’s best burger because this is the only burger I’ve had in Iowa.

Nice people, everything is clean. Spots are pull thru. No issues at all.

It’s a one night because unless…

Lots to do

Campground has a lot to offer for families of all types. Parks for the kids, hiking trails, nature center with bison and elk, golf course, mini golf, lake access, fishing and more. The different sites offer different feels. Some down by the water with a view of Saylorville with a lot more sun or…

Peaceful county park in small town Iowa

We really enjoy this campground and use it as a home base when we’re back visiting family. There’s a couple of parks onsite for kids- one with a zip line swing- plus a pond for fishing, areas to hike and bike. There’s also a historic village onsite that’s open for tours on weekends during the…

Great campground!

Tons of trees, very lush, clean bathhouses. Fire rings, picnic tables, level gravel sites.

Green and praceful

Great find on our way through Iowa. Clean and spacious. Very quiet, just listen to the frogs at night.

Jester park is great for a weekend with friends and testing new camping gear

This site was great, it has a reserve site to its right, (the people never showed up) and a FCFS site to the left. No one showed up there either and it was Father’s Day weekend! Super quiet and relaxing. Each site towards the front of the 400’s is BIG. You have plenty of room for 2 vehicles and two…

Much nicer than I expected

Campground with level pads, easy access and super friendly hosts. Spaces are large and open with nice balance of trees for shade.

Great location, tons of amenities

Marion County is often overlooked by people in favor of the various Red Rock campgrounds that are nearby, but in my opinion, unless you have a boat, there is nothing that puts Red Rock above Marion County. They have done a great job in recent years updating sites a few at a time, adding pavement…

Nice spot for a day or 2

We have a last minute change in plans so needed a place to stay for a couple of nights.

Level sites with full hookups

Plenty of space to walk the dog

Right next to a gas station with great burgers and tenderloins!

It was cold and windy so we didn't get out much to explore. It is right next to…

Lovely!

I'm pretty particular about researching and reviewing campgrounds before I book, especially with the kids in tow. This campground 100% lived up to review expectations. Took the PUP, two kids, dog and grandma (first time in 20+ years) this past weekend. Booked an outer ring site surrounded by trees…

Solid campground

Stayed at this campground for 3 nights while visiting Des Moines.  We stayed in Loop 1- site 138 because we wanted electrical.  The electrical box has 2 standard household plugs which is nice.  This loop was mostly RVs due to the electrical hook ups.  There aren't really trees between the sites,…

Just Made It!

Took my new to me PUP on her maiden voyage to Jester Park in July with my two kids, best friend and her daughter. We BARELY made it, pulling in on a Thursday around 4, and snagged one of 2 spots left! We were lucky enough to get a corner lot with some good shade trees. Staff was friendly,…
