West overlook provides some of the best views of the lake from your own campsite. Campsites here only offer electric hook ups but do provide showers and bathrooms.

Lots of intense trails to explore but some tree were in the way due to a past storm. Close to cedar river for awesome fishing!
Very nice campground, each sight has a fire ring and table, plus a lantern pole. It is in a city park like setting and on the lake. Fire wood for sale at the entrance, you have to get water at the entrance only electrical hook up. Showers are very clean and there is also a children’s play ground.
Ok to dry camp in the parking lot but campground is no longer available.
The park is reopened! We have stayed here and will stay again. One of our favorite places to camp.
Fun beginner hikes, As a local to the area it's a park i visit often
This campground has become our go to on travels west. September 9, 2020 was our third visit. Beautiful view of the water. Very clean and well run COE
Very quiet and relaxing- nice hiking trails and the dam is amazing!
Very nice campground. Great walking trails through wooded areas near the river. Beautiful place.
We made a reservation for a nice summer weekend but when we arrived someone was in our site. Luckily there was one more site available where the ranger asked us to stay instead since the other group was set up already. People were listening to loud music and chopping down green trees to burn.…
Went when it was 110 degrees with humidity. Campsites right next to the pond and good tree cover made the experience fun anyway. Good bass and panfish fishing with quiet campgrounds that aren’t right next to each other. I consider it a little hidden gem
Campsites kinda small and hilly. Great hiking trails and views of the bluffs over the river.
Beautiful trails, stone gazebo. Nice hike along the Cedar River. Only camped once, but definitely on the list to visit again
The best thing about this campground is it’s access to the squaw creek man bike single track. The sites are nice, and easy access to town if you forgot stuff.
