This is a great quiet park with animals for visiting and a very clean shower house.
Decent sites with full hook ups. Little shade with small trees next to about each site. Gas, propane, laundry room, beach area, small boat rentals, good sized convenience store with ice, beer, snacks, milkshake machine, etc. Enough to do for a day or two without going to the water park. Overall…
Not sure as to prices they keep changing
Very nice campground, each sight has a fire ring and table, plus a lantern pole. It is in a city park like setting and on the lake. Fire wood for sale at the entrance, you have to get water at the entrance only electrical hook up. Showers are very clean and there is also a children’s play ground.
Ok to dry camp in the parking lot but campground is no longer available.
this park has hiking(on path or off), fishing in multiple lakes and the cedar river, and a beach!!! maxx rentals will rent you from float mats to double kayaks. i suggest if you like well kept campgrounds try a weekend here
this is a 700+ acre park with hiking, fishing, and disc golf. it also has modern amenities and a small zoo of animals from birds to buffalo.
Nice campground with some non-electric sites on bank of Cedar River, clean shower house and flush toilets. On Cedar Valley bike trail (100+miles of interconnecting bike trial. major Hwy on two sides of park, sleeping in a tenet it was very noisy at night. and a train track close by (again at night)
We had site 24, sites were very spaced out and they are only on one side of the road so no sites backed up to ours. Plenty of room for our dogs
Visited this place a couple times and it's a great location.
I grew up going to this park both camping here and watching softball games with my friends. Also fishing a picnics! Close to home!
Used to go here as a kid, was always good fishing. We visited one week before the water and modern bathrooms were ready, so that was challenging. The park seemed a little rough to be on the cusp of true spring camping. Derecho looks to have hit here, lots of clean up to do. I never saw a ranger or…
Has some very nice shaded spots. Can walk down to the dock. We love to camp there every Fourth of July. It is a great place for all ages to enjoy.
Plenty of campsite offerings with good amenities. Paddling, fishing, hiking, swimming, to name a few. Firewood available. Conservation education center open seasonally with programs offered. Forest, prairie, wetland habitats. Not far from town for quick trip if needed.
