I have camped at lake wapello for 32 years in a row over my birthday in September it is the cleanest friendliest best wildlife great fishing wonderful campsites a place that I will always return to.
We had site 24, sites were very spaced out and they are only on one side of the road so no sites backed up to ours. Plenty of room for our dogs
Visited this place a couple times and it's a great location.
This is a beautiful COE park along the overflow of the lake. Cell service was terrible, but we loved the park. People were friendly and super helpful!
Has some very nice shaded spots. Can walk down to the dock. We love to camp there every Fourth of July. It is a great place for all ages to enjoy.
Great camp grounds! New showers and toilets. Easy access. Not far from oskaloosa.
I was only able to stay one night but i loved it. We hiked the equestrian trails one afternoon and the regular trails the next day. I camped in the equestrian campground and loved it with my popup. Outhouse type toilets are available there. I only drove past the RV campground and the campsites…
Gets pretty good cell service and is pretty
We stayed there this weekend. The campsite was perfect right by the lake and the campground was right next to us. Bathrooms and shower house were both clean. Our family is thinking about making it a Labor Day tradition.
Cute little RV/tent campground. Very nice hosts. Only stayed 1 night. Definitely on the 'let's go back' list. Waubonsie trail behind park is a short hike to the covered bridge and Dutchman's Store. Perfect Way to stretch your legs after a long day on the road. Bathrooms and showers were…

This park has something for everyone. They have primitive tent sites, electric only, electric+water, and fhu. They also have cabins for rent. All very reasonably priced. Most of the sites are nice and shady and level. A bathhouse with showers. A stone lodge for large parties. There is a…

Roberts creek is a great spot. It’s pretty much where all the crappie live. There is a boat ramp that gets you on the other side of the lake which is nice. It’s a great place to kayak or canoe. It’s a no wake side so you don’t see speed boats and such.
The campgrounds are kind of busy on the…

Our family has been camping at Lake Darling for the past couple of years. We very much like the campground and the lake area. Opportunities for improvement would be that the full hookup sites have the neighbors waste tube close the campers picnic table. Sometimes getting a whiff of black water…
