Beautiful and clean!

Stayed overnight at site 48 overlooking the Lake. It was so peaceful and lovely sunset just perfect. The facilities were all very clean and in excellent condition.

Right on the Water

We lucked out and nabbed a site right on the water on a really full weekend! It was a BEAUTIFUL view. The bathrooms/shower houses were immaculate and well kept. Solid firewood, $5 for 8 pieces. It was packed but definitely didn't feel like it. We had 5 dogs in our group and spent a lot of time on…

A good place to relax and recharge

We enjoyed a long weekend here reconnecting with friends.  The campground is well maintained and has a camp host on site.  The Shower/restrooms were clean and stocked.  Firewood is available for 8$ a bundle.  Sites are gravel base and  fairly level.  The city park has a edge maze that is unique. …

Gorgeous in the fall!

We stayed during the campground's last weekend in October, and loved it. It was so gorgeous with all the fall colors, and it's really a gem of a campground.

Pros:

-Beautiful, huge lake with lots of pretty views

-Primitive spots are separated from electric spots, which is great if you're…

Worth a stay!

We've tent camped twice at Springbrook, and though it's not perfect, it's a nice campground we plan to keep coming back to for a number of reasons.

Pros:

-Not a far drive from Des Moines, but still quite remote

-Lots of nice hiking trails

-Easy access to large, mostly clean modern…

It was a nice spot

I have a 31 foot pull behind camper & I fit fine. We stopped here at 1030 pm coming from Indiana, heading to California & we are first time buyers of a camper. There was no envelopes for the drop box, I emailed them & never got back so I got a night free. The power was fine, the water…

Huge park

It’s a little ways off the highway through the town of Stuart (Home to 1600 good eggs). There is an upper and lower campground and rumor has it that the lower sites can be a little muddy. Electrical at all the RV sites with grey water access and black water dumping station. Views of the water and…

River View!

We settled into one electrical site and one tent site for our adventure. The tent section offers fairly large sites, and views of the river. Our electrical site was decent size and the"backyard" was right up to the river bank. We anticipated some rain so we set up a screen tent for shelter right…

Had the lake to ourselves!

Although there were RVers and a nice group of Boy Scoutspaet of the time, there was no one else in our tent camping side. We had chilly weather, but marvelous views of the water with a rare flock of pelicans! Some of the trails were muddy, but there plenty of others to choose from. Red buds and…

The most windy experience ever

We showed up easter sunday when everyone in the loop left except one van, so it was pretty empty. But the wind was so intense an constant. Probably about 20 to 25mph wind all day and night. Temp was mid 70s to 80s. Well kept sites and the park ranger came through to check reservations were correct…

Nice spot.

Road improvement 2021 is nice, cutting down the shade trees, not nice.

This is a regular stop on my campground rotation.  Camp host's are the best ever.  Clean facilities.  Has both shaded and open spots, yurts, trails.  There are lots of activities, kids can swim below the ford, canoe starting on…

Nice park, camping below par

Most packed side by side, back to back. The few good sites are continually reseved.
Campers are loud well beyond midnight. If you like to whoop it up all night, this is the camp ground to go to, no enforcement Small lake is nice, trails are nice. Camp store and beach house (rentals) closed…

Great area, next to middle raccoon river with access.

Quiet town, campground. Canoeing, walleye fishing. Turn of century museum within walking distance. National golf course, par 3 golf course at nearby lake panorama is open to the public.

Small, private

Couple miles north of dexter, on gravel, next to public lake, hunting reserve. Would serve as overnight, or for construction worker's site. I scouted as not far from home, decided not worth effort to try out.

Remote park with nice little lake.

Fished out for the most part, 10 inch bass the norm, few far between. There's gotta be some big ones left. No camp host, no dumpster, no dump station. No shower. Did I mention the best part? It's remote, quiet, and nice folks camp there.
