Peaceful retreat

I loved staying at the guard station! There is a spot to hang your hammock. You can relax by the fire pit or read a book on one of the two picnic tables provided.

Make sure to bring your own water.

Excellent place.

First class campground. Has almost everything you could want. Has a great boat ramp on priest lake. Sites are spacious and well taken care of. No pull through spaces but back in large enough for big trailers. Nice beach to swim or sit on next to the boat launch. Does have a few boat slips.

Palisades reservoir

Open free camping all along the reservoir. Drive on the beach until you find your ideal spot and post up. Great views of the reservoir and tons of bird watching to be had

Great boondocking!

It is close to Driggs Idaho and roads are easily accessible for any size rig. Boondocking area is relatively level. There are two bathrooms that were kept very clean. No water nor trash receptacles. There is a boat put/take out that stays busy thru the day. We were here for six nights, quiet at…

Good for one night

We stayed here early July on our way to the Tetons/Jackson Hole area. Main road is very drivable for all vehicles but off shoot roads were looking more 4wd and clearance required to reach better camp sites. We found a spot right off the main road. The road has a steady spaced out stream of…

Nice KOA

We stayed just one night here on our way home from a 6 week outing. This KOA has something for everyone and every type of campsite you could ever imagine. It is very busy! We had a patio site near the office, overlooking a weedy bit near the stream. While you couldn’t see the water from the patio,…

Great place to stay

This is a big KOA, right on the river, and really well taken care of. Super clean! Walking distance to downtown and the hot springs. Really nice staff.

Great location, need to maintain sites better

As others have said the cabins are beautiful as is the entrance. The RV sites have all the basics you need and the park is very quiet and peaceful. The thing I didn't appreciate for the price we are paying is trash in our site and others people's pet waste that hadn't been picked up. Gross. I…

Amazing views and wide open spaces

We came here just after the 4th of July holiday and it was so much more empty than the week before. The roads in can be a little tricky without a raised truck and 4 wheel drive when towing a large 5th wheel. But once you pick a spot it is so beautiful. Cool evenings and crisp mornings make the hot…

Super Accomodating

Staff assisted getting us a campground last minute, so helpful. We were right on the river and were able to maneuver the campsite for our two tents. Bathrooms were clean and showers had hot water. Staff gave recommendations for rafting, sightseeing, etc. and office/store was filled with helpful…

Hidden gem

Was a great find driving into Jackson. Stayed multiple nights. First come first served basis, and can fill up quick. Well maintained lots, clean bathrooms, bear boxes, near the river, cell service spotty. Only downside is it’s a bit of a drive into town if that is your main goal. Otherwise it is a…
