This place is spotless and well-cared for.
We are car camping in a Tesla and the destination charge gave us the oomph to go up to Jackson WY the more scenic way via Soda Springs . We were the only guests (weekday after the kids are back in school=quiet time.) Got some road tips and local history…

The Lava pools are amazing and the town is very charming and walkable options. They have canoeing, rubber tubes, evokes, vespas and four wheelers available. The campsite is very kids friendly during summer months.
Quiet and beautiful. The water was low when we arrived, but we could see the water from our spot. We picked an area up in the tall grass, but several people including large trailers were set up on the shore. There are so many spots to set up here that you can really enjoy a quiet evening.
This is a great campground in Alpine WY. Level sites, full hook ups available, excellent wifi and cell service. There is a nice new bathhouse and laundry room (no laundromat in Alpine, so even if you don't camp here you can come use the laundry). The owner has upgraded the grassy areas, offers nice…
Spent two nights. Slept one night in the cabin other night outside. It rained both nights. Stayed dry both nights. Bring a nice pad to sleep on for sure. Cows everywhere. Side by sides race up and down the road. Hike around the cow trails. No cell service and no water. Propane stove and electric…
Driving by, this ace stole our heart so we had to stop. It's not got the amenities that some would want, but for us, it wasnt an issue
I loved staying at the guard station! There is a spot to hang your hammock. You can relax by the fire pit or read a book on one of the two picnic tables provided.
Make sure to bring your own water.
Open free camping all along the reservoir. Drive on the beach until you find your ideal spot and post up. Great views of the reservoir and tons of bird watching to be had
This was a great spot to pull into. A beautiful drive in and a lovely campsite right next to a creek. Clean pit toilets, easy parking, and a nice hike to cover before dinner. Great tree cover and easy access from the car to the campsite. Highly recommend!
Pros: pretty creek, decent pool, and nice store.
Cons: lots of dead grass and weeds, trash in the fire pit, a full on junk yard on full display, and junk laying around.
Good enough for a stop over, but plenty of other places to try for multiple nights stay.
We came here just after the 4th of July holiday and it was so much more empty than the week before. The roads in can be a little tricky without a raised truck and 4 wheel drive when towing a large 5th wheel. But once you pick a spot it is so beautiful. Cool evenings and crisp mornings make the hot…
Really nice people. Helped us out in a jam. Clean bathrooms and showers. Full hook ups.
totally adequate. clean. lots of traffic bc right next to the highway.
Came through at sundown looking for a place to camp with the RTT. Short drive to the Hot Springs. $48 for a tent spot. Full hookups. Tables and fire ring. On the river. Easy spot, but the trains are all night long and there is a crossing just over the highway from the resort…. So they honk for a…
