    Downata Hot Springs

    Great for kids! Very famiky friendly!

    We camped here with our 4 boys on a Wednesday and Thursday night end of July. We almost had the place to ourselves!

    Super family friendly! The kids loved the waterpark. The slides were a blast! Big water slides for our older boys, and a baby pool, splash pad and little kid water slide for the 3 year old.

    The pool is on the warmer side, 90°-95°F. It can feel a bit warm on a hot day. But the kids never complained. Very budget friendly for the price. Tons of lifeguards, which was nice for added safety.

    Pool has a cool history, and feels very vintage in a good way! Super charming.

    We never did the hot soaking pools because it was too hot. But would be awesome in winter!

    Trailer/rv sites D49-D57 seemed the best in the park. Tons of shade, and backed up to an open space for the most incredible sunsets!

    Has a swing set, sandbox, basketball court and volleyball court for kids to play.

    Flushing toilets in multiple spots, showers that you have to pay quarters to use. If you use the pool, free showers in the locker room.

    Had a good amount of basic supplies in the main office. And a fun snack bar with ice cream, swirl cones, pizza, nuggets, burgers, etc.

    The spots are pretty close together. We really lucked out and had the whole row to ourselves Wednesday night. Almost completely full on Thursday night. Felt way more cramped with all the extra trailers.

    The kids absolutely loved it, and so did we! Would definitely do this trip again!

    Make sure you use Henry’s access road. The one Google Maps takes you on before is private property. There’s around 14 designated spots, flat, new deep blm firepits.

    Grand Teton RV Getaway

    The Perfect Spot!

    This quaint single camping site in Victor, Idaho was exactly what we were looking for. It was peaceful, easy to find, and made a perfect budget-friendly base for exploring the Tetons. The drive over Teton Pass to Jackson was convenient, allowing us to enjoy all the area has to offer without paying Jackson lodging prices. If you’re looking for a quiet, simple place to stay in Teton Valley, this is an excellent choice.

    Schweitzer Mountain Fire Station

    Fire station mountain

    Quite a good place to park our truck camper. You drive about 4-8 miles up the paved windy road so long campers may have trouble. You park in this big gravel lot across the fire station. I think good views- but we’re here while it’s Smokey from the Canada fires (7/29/26). Bathrooms on site. No other kind of hookups. Residential trash allowed after visit but please be respectful of what you throw away.

    Abraham Slabs

    Stunning lakeside spot

    This spot is right on the shore of Abraham Lake. Simply drive in and pick a location. There are pit toilets throughout the space and two trash points. This is Canadian Crownland and you will need and Alberta RELM pass to camp here. One you have it stays are limited to 14-days.

    Country Corners Campground & RV Park

    Quiet, convenient location

    We booked this location last minute, as a last stop on a long road trip. The tent sites are shaded, and even the parking is on grass. The restrooms and showers were clean. In the office building there is a game room with a table and a microwave that we used to heat up some tasty leftovers.
