Nice easy place to stay the night. Bathrooms and showers are super clean. Not the most scenic of places but quiet and fairly easy to access - highway construction was underway in June 2024.
The coordinates bring you to what looks like a driveway that has signs for no trespassing and beware of dogs. After looking at the map, it looks like that’s the only way to get back there, so I’m assuming the homeowner who shares that road put those signs to keep people away.
Tried calling several times(during business hours) and wrote several times, never got back to me. Finally just drove there(through the rain), calling again about 5 minutes away. They finally answered only to be told they were full. Asked about other days and they said they weren't sure but to call the morning of. Remote dispersed. Great camping for north central Texas. The sites are a good distance between them. You can drive along the roads and look for them. We spotted 22 sites, there may be more. Download maps before getting here. Cell is not the best. No bathrooms, water, etc. Pack in/pack out. Downloadable hiking maps availability on other apps. Only saw 3 other cameras while we were here. Great hiking.

Pros: Great views of the water and wildflowers in the meadows. Reasonable price. Everything works and the shaded picnic tables are a plus. 5G plus signal on ATT for anything you might need online. Downsides: It looks like there could be a lot of water pooled on and behind our site with a heavy rain. The pad has definitely broken up over time and isn't level. The fire pit is also sitting at an angle. We noticed two groups of campers with 4-6 extra cars having gatherings last night, so that might have been distracting if we were right next to them.
