Several RV parks cater to motorhome travelers in the Corinth area of Texas. Shady Creek RV Park provides 207 full hookup sites with 50-amp electric service, water, and sewer connections. The park features level concrete pads that accommodate large motorhomes. One camper shared, "Very clean and well kept RV park. Close to town, but feels secluded enough." Waggin Tail Ranch RV Park offers 98 RV sites with fenced yards, making it popular among pet owners. Lake Point RV Resort contains 115 spacious sites with full hookups, while Destiny Dallas RV Resort maintains year-round availability for its sites.

Advance reservations are strongly recommended for these RV parks, particularly during weekends and holiday periods. Most facilities provide sanitary dump stations, with Shady Creek, Waggin Tail Ranch, and Lake Point all offering on-site sewage hookups at individual sites. Big rig access is generally good throughout the region, with wide internal roads that facilitate easy maneuvering of larger motorhomes and fifth wheels. A visitor commented that Lake Point has "wide gravel roads and plenty of space between sites." While WiFi availability varies between parks, most offer shower facilities, restrooms, and trash service. Many parks maintain pet-friendly policies, though breed restrictions may apply at certain locations.

      Sanger - Denton North KOA

The KOA is clean and well maintained. There is lits of space for the pull throughs. Dog park is amazing, host are friendly and kind. They are very welcoming and the store is small, but clean with a little bit of everything for everyone! We will definitely be back!

      Rocky Creek Park

Nice park with water, electric hookups, and showers. Located right on the water. Spots are plenty large enough for multiple cars and there are two hiking trails. Solid spot for RVs and vans that want a beautiful lake view.

      Winstar RV Park

Super easy in and out. Pretty much every amenity that you would want at a very modern campground.

      The Vineyards Campground & Cabins

      Disappointing and unnecessarily confrontational experience.

I booked and paid for a campsite at The Vineyards in my self-contained Sprinter camper van. I checked in without issue and had already spent one night there when the park manager, Lisa, approached me while I was relaxing inside my van to inform me that my vehicle was not welcome.

She stated that the city requires RVs to have hookups and be commercially manufactured. However, the campground’s published policies explicitly allow management to approve converted camper vans (and I am fully self-contained). It also allows for truck campers, which I suppose theoretically could have sewer hookups, but I assure you my custom converted Sprinter is more aesthetic than a truck camper, if that was her concern (no offense to my truck camper friends).

I also could not find the city ordinance she was referring to.

I understand that campgrounds have rules and that management has discretion to enforce them. What I don’t understand is why my reservation was accepted, why I was allowed to stay overnight, or why the situation needed to be handled so confrontationally.

When I offered to leave if they would refund my unused second night, Lisa told me it was too late for a refund and that I might as well stay.

So apparently my van was prohibited until refunding my money became the alternative.

I wasn’t causing a disturbance, requesting special accommodations, or asking to use facilities I hadn’t paid for. I was simply enjoying a campsite I’d reserved and paid for.

The campground itself is lovely, which makes the experience even more disappointing. A straightforward, respectful conversation about their policies would have been entirely reasonable. Instead, I was made to feel unwelcome at a place where I was already a paying guest.

If you’re traveling in a self-contained converted camper van, I’d strongly recommend getting written approval before booking, regardless of whether your reservation is accepted. And given that I am now reading other complaints of the staff being rude, I might avoid this spot altogether.

      Red River Ranch RV Resort

Red River RV Resort (Deluxe) in Thackerville OK is a hot mess to be polite. The entire campground is covered with goathead sand burrs. It's impossible to go outside and enjoy any part of the campground. If you do go out you have to be very careful not to bring any of the sand burrs into the camper. The property owner / management knows of the campground issues but they're not doing anything to fix the issues. The pool and hot tub are disgusting, both have green slimy water with leaves, dirt and whatever else blew into it. The community room is locked and you have to ask at the office to get access. The community room has multiple TV's but none if them turn on so whats point in having them. On the good side it has two nice pool tables so its has some purpose. The gym area is packed with equipment but looks more like a storage locker than a gym.The campground has a good laundry room and okay WIFI. The showers are okay, older facilty but it all works. It has a fenced dog park but again It's covered with sand burrs so its unuseable. There's several empty/abandonded campers through out the campground. We went down the street to the local public park, sadly the park is unuseable as well due to the sand burrs being everywhere. It appears sand burrs are a bigger issue in the area and just not only at the campground. The campsites have full hook ups, some of the sewer hose tubes have caps while others don't. The neighboring campsite sewer connection didnt have a sewer cap and it has a huge wolf spider living in it.... we had planned to stay the full 14 days but leaving early due to the 8 billion sand burrs. Our dog is unable to walk in the grass, dirt, pavement without a paw full of sand burrs. I'm very disappointed C2C thinks this is a deluxe campground, I would be embarrassed to be in any way connected to it. There's other campgrounds in the area that have similar nightly cost ($40 - $50) if I was to pay outside of the C2C members rate with useable grass yards, clean useable swimming pools and community rooms. This could be an amazing campground if someone would fix the issues. As it stands now I would avoid this campground at all costs.

Isle du Bois Campsites — Ray Roberts Lake State Park

Beautiful and quiet. Widely spaced sites in loops, but challenging to back in.

Folks want different things out of campsites. For me, it's scenic beauty, quiet for work and mental health, and nice places to take my dog. This checks all the boxes!

None of my reviews will be useful for amenities or activities because I just don't use them. I can't tell you about bathrooms, fishing, etc. I can tell you the water is very soft and feels slick or soapy even after you rinse. I have onboard reverse osmosis and wouldn't recommend drinking city water anywhere in Texas. There's too much oil production here and gas and chemicals are all over.

The staff at the gate were pleasant and said, "You must be David," when I pulled in, which was very nice and made it easy and welcoming.

Texas has many undiscovered and wonderful public lands, whether you're really camping or just working remote, watching the deer, or seeing the sunrise over a lake from your bedroom window. Get out here and come see them!

      East Fork Park Campground

      Great spot on the lake

This is a great campground. Power was good, att service is good and the grounds are very clean. The only downside is no full hookups and the dump station is outside of the gate which they lock at 10pm and don't open again until 10am. So no getting back in while locked and you can't dump except when there are lines.

      Clear Lake Park

      So pretty

Camped in site 14. Level site, beautiful view of the lake with covered concrete table. You can walk down to the lake to swim. BUT ants! Make sure you take precautions to keep them out of your rig!

    Guide to Corinth

RV campgrounds near Corinth, Texas sit within the Cross Timbers ecological region, characterized by a mix of prairie and woodland landscapes. The area experiences hot summers with temperatures regularly exceeding 95°F between June and September, while winters remain relatively mild. Most Corinth-area RV parks maintain year-round operation, with peak season running from March through October when rainfall averages 2-3 inches monthly.

    What to do

Explore local flea markets: Traders Village, located within driving distance of Corinth, offers camping with access to one of the region's largest flea markets. "One of the biggest flee markets around and it's 2 days of walking and shopping. Has water, power and sanitation too," notes reviewer Alejandro G. about Traders Village.

Visit animal attractions: Some campgrounds feature on-site animal encounters. "They've got lemurs, a kangaroo, bunnies, a zebra, a camel and all the farm animals! Cannot say enough about the food at the restaurant, which they will deliver to your campsite," shares Megan R. about her experience at Lone Oak RV Park.

Attend sporting events: The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex offers major sports venues within easy reach. "Cowboys football and Rangers baseball only a few miles away, plus 6 Flags amusement park," mentions Troy in his review of Treetops RV Resort, noting its convenient location for accessing entertainment options.

    What campers like

Fenced yards for pets: Pet owners appreciate the dedicated spaces at certain RV parks. "Nice sites most are fenced in with big yards. A few pull thru sites unfenced. Nice big dog park with a pond, also a grooming and dog wash area," says Jamie S. about Waggin Tail Ranch RV Park.

Well-maintained swimming pools: Summer heat makes pool access particularly valuable. "The pool is nice. You're right next to Frisco, Prosper, Little Elm, Savannah, and Denton," notes Rafael A. in his review of Shady Creek RV Park.

Convenience to shopping: Many campers value proximity to retail options. "Easy access to Target just around the corner, Parks mall is close by and Arlington Highlands shopping is really nice," explains Jessica F. about the location advantages of Treetops RV Resort.

    What you should know

Monthly vs. nightly stays: Some parks cater primarily to long-term visitors. "Tried to book a weekend, turns out they are a monthly only park," shares Spencer regarding Destiny Dallas RV Resort, indicating the importance of confirming stay duration options before planning.

Weather considerations: Seasonal storms can impact camping experiences. "We traveled from West Texas, stayed 4 nights, had rain almost every day. The park is well laid out, small clean well maintained yards. The paved road was beginning to break up from all the rain with pot holes," reports Pedro C. about his stay at Shady Creek RV Park.

WiFi limitations: Internet connectivity varies significantly between RV parks. "The FREE WiFi didn't work. I have a sneaky suspicion that the WiFi service we were given to connect to is not the one that long term renters get to use," explains Pennie in her review of Northlake Village RV Park.

    Tips for camping with families

Look for kid-friendly amenities: Several parks offer features specifically for children. "The facilities are superb and the people are great!" writes Kristen N. about Lake Point RV Resort, which maintains family-friendly facilities including a community center.

Consider shade availability: Texas heat makes tree cover important. "The trees are beautiful and add great shade. Most of spaces are pull through and very easy to setup at. We had a fire pit and picnic table," shares Jessica F. about her family's experience at Treetops RV Resort.

Check for laundry facilities: Extended family stays benefit from on-site laundry. "The laundry room is nice, I really like the app that lets you pay so you don't need coins but also tells you how much time you have remaining or if there are machines available," notes Rafael A. about Shady Creek RV Park.

    Tips from RVers

Site leveling: Pay attention to pad construction when selecting an RV site. "Our spot was 171 and was very well shaded, the only thing is our trailer was level but we felt like we were leaning back," mentions Sybel P. about their experience at Treetops RV Resort.

Road conditions: Internal road quality affects larger vehicle access. "The roads are wide (gravel) and plenty of space between sites. Ours was pull through," reports Stephanie P. about Lake Point RV Resort, highlighting features important for easy maneuvering.

Breed restrictions: Pet policies may include limitations on certain dog breeds. "Everything says 'Pet Friendly', however when we tried to book a spot for a month they said I couldn't bring my Great Dane puppy bc of the breed and insurance," warns a reviewer about Destiny Dallas RV Resort's pet policy limitations.
