Best Campgrounds near Burleson, TX

Clean and quiet. Good showers and laundry facilities. Close to dining and stores. Internet poor.

Really pretty free sites right on the water. Sign said you can stay up to 10 days. Bathrooms only with toilets and no running water. They are not the cleanest. Only thing I wasn’t prepared for was all of the geese around the park. They are very loud and will annoy for food. One almost attacked me as my boyfriend and I were cooking dinner. Overall it was alright for a free nights stay.

This RV Park has a great location to Fort Worth. It's less than a mile to Chisholm trail road as well. The park was built by previous owner and done very well but new owners are upgrading park features. The park will feature Chip Seal Roads and RV Covers on every spot. This will be a beautiful place to call home.

$10/night honor system dropbox at entrance. No reservations or anything, just pull up and find a spot.

Pros- Beautiful, great fishing, enough trees to hammock camp, flat spots if you want a tent, safe! Fall asleep to the sound of crickets and jumping fish, occasional coyote howls. Each spot has its own Ramada and picnic table. I know there are other campers but we are separated by a field and trees, so it feels quite isolated.

Cons- can still hear road + train noise and neighborhood dogs. Some of the brush is pretty spiky. Some trash from past campers (we picked up as we cleaned up our stay, but who knows if it will be back). But really, no major complaints.

This place is lovely! Perfect weather in March!!

Great place for smaller RVs and tent camping. Clean, free, vault toilet. There is a small beach area and campsites are on rocky outcroppings to the water. No electrical, there is drinking water between the sites.

Been told by a local, off season is best as July and August are typically overful. Bathrooms are closed, but there is a Porta potty that was knocked over by the wind.

Lots of sun and just a little shade, arrive early for a treed spot or bring shade awnings. Large open area great to fly kites.

Drove in didn't stay, campsites are right on the water and picnic tables and grill provided. Only a few spots but no privacy and right on top of each other. Good to stay if nowhere else.

Nicely laid out campground changed to day use only 6am-10pm no overnight camping

Only a small amount of campsites, big open fields and mature oak tree shade. Water at most and firerings are provided next to covered picnic tables. Quiet, lots of wildlife, has boat ramp and dock as well as large shelter house with bbq for days use by larger groups. First come first served and free. No showers and only a vault toilet.

The park is clean and well kept. We like that it is close enough to the city if we need to go to town but it feels like you are in the country. They were having a get together for all the guests with a band and food but we had to leave the day before. I thought that was a really fun idea and would have loved to been able to attend. Maybe next time we can stay a little longer and explore Cleburne more.

A cute little park with lots of picnic tables, a pier, and a huge field. The bathrooms were closed but they supplied a porta potty and the nearest gas station is only about two minutes away. Very connected to civilization and it was very well kept. Lots of people seemed to know about it, there were around 15 people who camped there last night and ten or so cars that came through for the fishing pier. If you’re a fisher, this is the place to be! The fish are active. The lake is gorgeous, but if you are car camping or tent camping, be wary about the fact that there will be little to no shade. Plenty of space for a big rig, and the whole thing is designed in a loop, so no backing out necessary! Plus all driving areas to and from the campsite, as well as in it, are paved.

My 1st time camping there and I feel in love and will return... The deer coming to ur campsite is amazing and the sunset is breathe taking.. I'll be returning soon with my 87yr gma for one last camping trip with her..
