    SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

RV parks within 30 miles of Saginaw provide varied site layouts and hookup configurations. Northlake Village RV Park in Roanoke features 177 sites with full hookups, concrete pads, and accommodates big rigs with fifty-amp service. Treetops RV Resort in Arlington offers year-round availability with full hookup sites including electric, water, sewer, and dump station access. Lake Life RV Resort maintains a smaller footprint with just 7 RV sites but provides fifty-amp and thirty-amp hookup options on level sites. Cowtown RV Park near Aledo includes pull-through spaces with concrete pads designed for motorhomes of various sizes. "The sites are level and easy to get into. Electrical, water, and sewer worked well," according to one visitor.

Most RV parks in the region maintain controlled access with security gates and well-maintained facilities. Monthly rental options predominate at several locations, requiring advance planning for short-term visitors. Pet-friendly policies are standard across nearly all parks, though some impose breed or size restrictions. Cell service remains consistent throughout the area given proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Seasonal considerations include summer heat that prompts many travelers to seek parks with shade trees or swimming pools. Dump stations are readily available, with Treetops and Cowtown offering on-site sanitary dump facilities. As described in feedback on The Dyrt, "Apart from a few sites with trees, shade is limited, welcome to Texas," but most parks compensate with amenities like swimming pools or covered patios.

      The Retreat at Shady Creek

      Awesome RV resort in town

We normally don't do RV resorts, but this one is awesome. The sites are fairly spacious, especially compared to other RV resorts. Big rig friendly with many different style spots to choose from. We always choose the fence line back in sites, and they always come with plenty of grass to walk the dogs. The fence backs up to residential, but that doesn't bother us. Even the back in sites are plenty spacious for a big rig and your tow vehicle and another vehicle. The park is very roomy and easy to navigate and park.

The staff are always so nice and they make late check in a breeze, which we appreciate after a long, tiring day of towing. This RV resort is the only place we've ever stayed in that allows RV washing! For full-time RVers, that's pretty huge. They also have a mail room if you need to receive a package on the road.

The resort is split up into two areas by the road, the Retreat area is more resort like and caters to short term stays, while the other half has long term stays. They both look nice and are clean and beautiful. We will continue to visit every time we pass through the area.

      A Plus RV Park

      Friendly Staff, Easy Highway Access

I have seen this place a million times living in the community nearby and never thought to check to see if they all tent campers. I was shocked to find out they do accommodate them so I passed through and checked out the grounds and wanted to let people know it exists!

There are two entries at the front of the property each easily accessed from the highway. Though they are gravel they are easy to navigate but do hold a little water in the rain. As you drive into the camp there are 4 main rows of camping, mostly in use by RVs however they do also accommodate tent campers. These sites can be picked up nightly or for more long term use so many people at this park have called this their home for a bit. Despite obvious signs of the long term dwellers, the grounds are clean and well maintained and don't look cluttered like some long term campgrounds will begin to look.

The site offers nice restrooms with showers, a bbq for general use, a rec room perfect for having your breakfast or dinner or perhaps a game of cards with friends and has connections for RVs up to 50 amp as well as a dump station.

For the tent camper sites are wide enough to be comfortable to move around and have scattered picnic tables. The tent camping sites are located on a grassy area next to the pond so they are not squished between big rigs and have a bit more privacy.

This site might not look as elaborate as some, but it more than makes up for the few things you do not have by its friendly staff and on site mechanic.

      TIPS:

      • Call in advance if looking for an RV site, they do have several spaces available but during certain times of the year they do fill up as they are centrally located to many things.

      • Check out the LBJ Grasslands which are nearby when visiting this location, a great get away for some outdoor activities.

      Lake Park Campground

      Nice Place

This place is well-maintained and a fairly nice park. Family friendly and there is a lake and playground within walking distance. The staff is courteous. We did not use any of the facilities, except dump station.

There are specific sites for 30 and 50. The middle spaces for 30 amp have no shade. For 50 amp avoid sites 59-63, 0 shade. There are no sewer hookups at the site. Only dumping station.

Reservations is done by calling the park, no online.

      Dinosaur Valley RV Park

      Loved it!

Every site is pull through with full hookups and has a fire ring & picnic table! Staff was very friendly and store had all the essentials. Clean restroom and shower (1 stall), pet friendly and beautiful pool/ hot tub. Right across the street from Dinosaur World (which our 2 year old loved) and outside the gates of Dinosaur Valley State Park. Will definitely be back.

      Holiday Park Campground

Hard to Believe You’re Next to a Big City

When we got to Benbrook, we used the campground(CG) website instructions as we didn’t see any signage for the CG on US377 coming in from the east. We turned right onto Pearl Ranch Rd and followed it to the Holiday COE entrance about 2 miles straight down the road. Check in was easy and the guy who checked us in was very informative. We needed to fill our freshwater tank and he pointed out on the map the two dump stations with potable water. We proceeded to the dump station just inside the gate to find out there was not a potable water spigot just the usual rinse hose. We went back to the entrance and he informed us the park ranger had told him they are on well water and thus the water at the dump station was safe, even though there was a sign clearly stating it was not safe to drink. We were then told we could go to an empty camp site that had water hook-ups and fill up there, which we did. Not sure what we would have done if this had been a busy weekend with all of the water sites full. We then proceeded to pull through site 72 with 30/50 AMP. There was plenty of space for our 39’ fifth wheel and F-450 on the asphalt pad. The site had a covered cement patio with picnic table, and bbq/fire pit that we couldn't use due to a burn ban. Site 73 was the only other site in our little cul-de-sac. For the intent of this review, we toured the campground specifically looking for free standing water spigots, but didn't find any. The showers/restroom were old but in workable shape. If you want to stay where we did in sites 72-75 they were definitely electric only, contrary to what other reviews mentioned. There were water spigots at the sites but they had been capped off. Sites 76, 77,& 78 were also electric only and sat up on a hill with a slight lake view but are across the street from a neighborhood that backs up to the park. Sites 83- 93 had water and electric as well as some of the sites near the front of the park. We got 3 bars on Verizon and a whole bunch of OTA channels. We enjoyed the view of the lake and privacy at our site since we were the only ones there the whole time of our stay during the week.

      Traders Village RV Park

      Clean and big

We stayed 4 nights in site 24, PT FHU on a level concrete pad with a picnic table and plot of grass. $40/ni after Good Sam. The park is split into two sections; the side we are in is next to an airfield and the other side is by a small dog run (next time, I'll request this section bc I'm traveling with my dogs). They have a store and the laundry is clean and well priced ($1.25/wash, $0.25/12 min dry). The wifi is strong and the park is quiet. There are some long term, possibly permanent, tenants, but their sites are well kept.

      Thousand Trails Bay Landing

      Decent Park

As far as Thousand Trails this is an average park. There are some full hook up sites but many are partial hookups. You pick your own site which is nice but most of the full hook up sites are occupied by long term residents or annual site holders. The view of the lake is beautiful and the park is quiet. They do have a lot of amenities.

Sites: most were level, grass or gravel. Some have a view of the lake. I sprained my knee and ankle at this park because our site was so unlevel and the mud sunk our jacks a little. Our rig weighs 16,000lbs so the Class As should be careful. The ground was soft and I came out of the RV without thinking and twisted both. Medical services are within a half hour of the RV Park.

Each site had picnic tables and fire rings.

Cellular: we were able to work and stream video easily with T-Mobile and AT&T.

Amenities: Club House Shuffle Board Pool Hot Tub (closed while we were there) RV Storage Mini Golf Hiking Trails Laundry Bath House Playground Fishing WiFi

    Guide to Saginaw

RV campgrounds near Saginaw, Texas connect travelers to the Fort Worth area while offering year-round camping access. Summer temperatures regularly exceed 95°F from June through September, making shade and pool access high priorities for campers. The terrain surrounding Saginaw features gently rolling hills with elevations ranging between 650-850 feet above sea level, creating natural drainage during occasional heavy rainfall events.

    What to do

Explore wildlife viewing spots: Eagle Mountain Lake near Lake Life Rv Resort offers waterfront relaxation within walking distance of the campground. "Great spot conveniently located walking distance from Eagle Mountain Lake. Across the street from a convenience store with food kitchen," notes camper Brandon C.

Visit weekend markets: The flea market at Traders Village runs Saturday and Sunday, requiring multiple days to see everything. "One of the biggest flea markets around and it's 2 days of walking and shopping," writes Alejandro G., who adds that the location "has all your needs for as long of a stay you ever need."

Access sports venues: Many Saginaw area campgrounds position travelers near major sports facilities. Treetops RV Resort puts you within 5 miles of both AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field. "Located in Arlington smack dab in between D/FW. Just down the road from the Cowboys Stadium... 25 minutes to downtown Dallas and 20 to Fort Worth," explains camper Stacey.

    What campers like

Small, quiet settings: Smaller RV parks offer a more peaceful camping experience. "It only has seven spots so it's very quiet and well kept. Enjoy the swimming pool on a hot day," says Brandon C. about Lake Life Rv Resort.

Gated security: Several RV campgrounds near Saginaw feature enhanced security measures. "Safety and security are foremost, as park is completely fenced in with access via a code-controlled gate," notes Harold R. about Clean Living RV Park, adding that it has a "real community feel."

Tree cover for shade: Trees provide crucial shade during hot Texas summers. "Beautiful tree filled park. Super well maintained with a mix of pull through and back in sites. There is a ton of shade, a pool, dog park and on site very tidy laundry room with Apple Pay machines," writes Stacey about Treetops RV Resort.

    What you should know

Residential vs. vacation mix: Many RV parks near Saginaw maintain a mix of long-term and short-term sites. "From my own observations, it looks like this particular park caters to long term rentals more than it does short term. While staying here we met a few 'residence' who had been there for months," explains Pennie about Northlake Village RV Park.

WiFi considerations: Internet access varies significantly between parks. "It was disappointing to discover that the FREE WiFi didn't work," notes Pennie about Northlake Village. "I have a sneaky suspicion that the WiFi service we were given to connect to is not the one that long term renters get to use."

Urban setting trade-offs: The proximity to Dallas-Fort Worth brings convenience but also urban elements. "This is not a place to chill in to relax and 'camp'. It's perfect if you want to visit friends and will be out most of the time. It's also a great place to use as a home base to tour Dallas/Fort Worth," explains Aaron K. about Settlers Haven Mobile Home & RV Park.

    Tips for camping with families

Playgrounds and pools: Look for campgrounds with dedicated children's areas. Cowtown RV Park provides playground facilities specifically for kids. "We stayed for a few nights while traveling through Fort Worth and enjoyed this park. It was a great location, quiet and had a playground for our kids," shares Emily R. about Cowtown RV Park.

Kid-friendly pools: Swimming options vary between campgrounds, with some better suited for children. "The pool is nice and clean, shallow for small children or if you just want to float around in the sun. It wasn't ever crowded while we were there," notes Robert T. about Cowtown RV Park.

Nearby attractions: Plan day trips to local family destinations. "But you don't come to DFW just to hang out at the park. There is major shopping just up the street, Cowboys football and Rangers baseball only a few miles away, plus 6 Flags amusement park," points out Troy about Treetops RV Resort.

    Tips from RVers

Site leveling expectations: Concrete pads simplify the setup process at several area campgrounds. "The sites are level and easy to get into. Electrical, water, and sewer worked well," reports Aaron K. about Settlers Haven Mobile Home & RV Park, while Patrice S. notes that at Cowtown RV Park there are "pull through cement location[s]" that make setup easier.

Weather adaptations: Texas heat requires planning for shade or cooling options. "The slips themselves were concrete and for the most part level. It took us no time to level and have our RV ready to use. The hookups were all in working order and easy to access," shares Robert T., who also noted shade limitations at Cowtown RV Park.

Escorted parking assistance: Staff at several RV campgrounds near Saginaw provide parking guidance. "The host bends over backwards to make your stay pleasurable, Larry escorted us to our pull through cement location and made sure we had everything we needed," writes Patrice S. about Cowtown RV Park.
