LegendMade a quick last second stop here on a long road trip after was getting late. Great place! Several sites to choose from, first come basis. Find your spot and pay at the self serve area. Vault restrooms were clean, trails were nice although it was very wet and muddy so didn't get off paved trail. Many sites have electric.
ScoutWell the first night we camped, there was a massive thunderstorm with a tornado warning, ended up sleeping in the car, a couple trees fell in the campground so it was pretty scary. The rest of the trip was great though! Got a spacious site with plenty of room to set up our gear. Neighbors were friendly but not nosey. Bugs were definitely a bit of an issue but not too bad.

ScoutThey charge a $20.00 booking fee! Which was 50% the cost of my site! Are you kidding me! The thing is I never booked it, I walked in on a Tuesday when it wasn't busy. So the price was $68.00 for water and electric for one night not $40. It was also very noisey across the street from some rock/cement quarry.
GuideWe were looking for a place to park our van with a view where our dog could run and we could spend a few days acclimating to Van life and this was perfect. It was the first time we had used the dyrt and we were very pleased with our spot. You will need a four-wheel drive to traverse the actual campground point. We watched turtles, popping their head up in the lake and really enjoyed ourselves.

LegendAnother great Tn State Park! The campground layout is odd. Some sites are pointed the wrong direction on a one way road, so you just have to drive it backwards. Most sites are small, but there are a few longer ones. Seems like many are unlevel. Our picnic table was at a very noticeable slant. The bathhouse was really nice, felt new and was very clean. The staff and park rangers were very nice. Only 1 bar of service with AT&T.
