Boat traffic from the adjacent ramp creates a steady flow of activity at this lakefront campground, though campers can position themselves far enough from the launch area to minimize disturbance. Boswell Landing sits directly on Kentucky Lake within Land Between the Lakes, offering gravel camping pads with fire rings scattered among mature trees that provide ample shade throughout the day.
The campground operates as a primitive site without electrical hookups, relying on a single vault toilet facility that reviewers consistently note for its cleanliness. Most sites sit within 100 feet of the water, and the abundant trees make excellent anchor points for hammocks. "We had so many trees to use for our hammocks," notes Brooklyn L., describing the natural setup options available to tent campers.
RVs up to 40 feet can access the campground via well-maintained paved roads, though the primitive nature means no hookups of any kind. A boat ramp provides direct lake access for fishing and water activities, while a dumpster near the launch area stays close enough for convenience without creating odor issues at the campsites. Firewood bundles are available at the Paris Landing ranger station, though departing campers often leave wood behind for others to use.
The campground stays open year-round with rates ranging from $5 to $12 per night, making it an economical base for exploring sites around Land Between the Lakes Other. Weekend periods see increased boat traffic and camping activity, while weekdays typically offer more solitude. Cell service reaches the area, and both pets and alcohol are permitted throughout the campground.
