ScoutPool, nice playground, small putt putt course, rec room and other activities available. We are retired and just needed overnight camping and the only site available was tiny and right on the curve of the road. Our firepit and picnic table were less than 10 feet from the road so not private at all. We felt it was overpriced for the site. Others were better but none very private(smallish and no trees).

TravelerCampground is well labeled and maintained. Sites are very very close together but this was expected. The bathhouses were extremely disappointing considering there are no full hookups and the price to stay here at a “resort.” They were both full of spider webs, had very dingy fixtures, and did not live up to the rest of the camp.
GuideWhy the Dyrt has this place listed under "glamping" is beyond me. This is very far from that. A state park, some FHU sites, some pull thru, but it's almost like camping in a prairie. There's so very few trees here, so almost every site will be full sun. Full, blisteringly hot, sun.
It's an ok campground, but that's it. Host (each time we were there) did nothing that we could see. People tend to drive fast here, even staff.
It's right on Lake Erie, which can be good/bad, depending on if the toxic algae blooms are occuring.
City of Monroe is nearby for whatever you might need. (Aldi, etc)

GuideSpent a week on a full hook-up site with our Class C! Although it was tough to get a spot, totally worth the $200 ferry ride over. With dogs and kids, the quarter mile walk to the beach (and then East away from the public beach area) was easy peasy and we were able to set up our own little beach area. Even being the second week of July, this area of the beach didn’t have very many people and it was awesome to let the kids and dogs all play. Originally we had planned to rent a golf cart, but when we rode our bike to town, we realized it was such a short ride we didn’t need a golf cart. We utilized bikes to go out to dinner a few times, and even ride around the perimeter of the island. Our full hookup site specifically was not in the shade, but it looked like most full hook ups were. Next time we will consider an electric only down by the beach, as it was easily 10° cooler with a breeze down there. This campground would’ve been five stars, except for the bathhouse was dire need of cleaning. Not sure if this is a result of coming off a holiday weekend, but either way we popped in a few times throughout the week and it was pretty gross.
GuideJust staying here one night before moving on. We snagged one of the full hookup sites, B131. It has a nice open grassy area, picnic table, and Firepit with some mature trees, providing plenty of shade for this site. Although lots of campers on top of each other, being an end site gave us more room and privacy. We walked a trail along the water, to the beach. It was a nice well-maintained trail, and only a little over a mile to get to the beach.
TravelerThe campground is very nice with clean facilities, activities and nice sites (especially in areas A and B). If you are there in June, expect Mayflies. No big deal, just be prepared. My only negative is the beach could have been a bit cleaner.

This site is on neatly mowed grass and it has water and electric connections. There are no picnic tables or fire rings. There are no trees or other vegetation to separate sites

Bookings online are easy. We arrived after closing and my documents were taped to the office windows with directions to my site.
We used our Starlink Mini and it worked well on a nearly cloudless day with unobstructed access to the sky.

ScoutWe were traveling home and needed a place to stay for the night and hoped for full hookup. Looked up and found this place and another that was reportedly 3x the number of sites who was having a big hog roast that evening. This was the largest campground we stayed at during our 2 week trip and our first RV trip generally. The spaces were close (tight) and thankfully we had a small class C. Many seemed to be permanent with full builds of patios and covers. Firepits at each site were old tire rims. Quiet hours are late (11 PM) and we are not late people. Probably fine if you want to spend time engaging with everyone around you, you sleep well and have good sound dampening in your rig. For the occasional overnight to just get home or to the next place, take this place for what it is, a place for long term campers ideally with kids. Was a good learning opportunity to avoid such places in the future.
