White Star Park Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

White Star Park holds this county-managed campground across from a lake that draws both families and scuba divers, particularly on summer weekends. The campground runs from April 15 through November 15 and sits just outside Gibsonburg, a small town in northwest Ohio. Sites are drive-in and accommodate RVs up to 50 feet, with full hookups available including electric, water, and sewer connections, plus a dump station on site.

Cleanliness comes up repeatedly across reviews, which is worth noting given how inconsistent county-run facilities can be. Jill B. describes the sites as "very clean, spacious, well kept up." Showers and restrooms are consistently mentioned as well-maintained. The campground sits near a road, so some traffic noise is audible, especially from sites closest to the road edge.

Weekends fill up, particularly in summer when the adjacent park lake attracts recreational visitors. Weekday stays are generally more open. Several reviewers arrived as overnight stops during longer road trips, and the campground works reasonably well in that role given its hookup availability and straightforward access. Those looking for more options in the area can find additional campgrounds around White Star Park or a full-service alternative at nearby Eagle Lake Camping Resort.

Reservations are accepted and worth making for summer weekends to avoid arriving at a full campground.

Nice kinda noisy

Great place open during the week can be full on weekends. Near a road though so a bit of noise from cars. Bathrooms and showers are nice and clean.
