Perfect spot for a night

We stopped here for a night during a road trip. Very clean spot with nice views and a good sunset. Reserved a spot ahead of time, not a lot of people at the campground. Clean bathrooms and WiFi.

Rim dispersed camping

We actually stayed off of FSR k87B. Here the campsites can get real close to the edge of the canyon. Super primitive, but amazing views. A little to hot this June.

Perfect for passing through

Good power and water, quiet, well maintained and under the watchful eye of the Manager. Safe.

Stargazing in isolation

This place was off the beaten path, but we'll worth it. Beautiful canyon and open space. We will be coming back for sure.

State park goegeous and clean!

Great find driving through NM. $10 self pay state park and plenty of spots for drive up on a Friday. Beautiful views from nearly every campsite, sites spread apart with tables and awnings over each table. A clean lake, clean pristine bathrooms and millions of stars that will take your breath away.…

No room, told we couldn’t camp

Bummed when we pulled up and were told we couldn’t tent camp. Found a better place up the road near the lake.

One of the most beautiful man made lakes I’ve ever been too

We spent two nights and it only cost us $16. We were parked right on the lake, and being right after a holiday the lake was pretty much empty. They have several different campsites, with a website that makes it easy to reserve a spot. However, we called to ask, and ranger let us know we could come…

Nice Campground with some age

I did enjoy staying in this Campground on the North end. Nice picnic tables with protection, water at each site, trash cans nearby, and vault toilets. The parking could be refreshed but the scenery is excellent. I would have preferred site 38N

A nicer KOA

4/5/2021 Right off the highway. One of the nicer KOA's we have stayed at in the Southwest. True, the sites are close together which is typical at KOA's but this campground had lots of established trees which was nice (meaning shade). Many pull through sites. Full hookups. One of the unique things…

Isolated buy interesting history

April 16, Brrr.. at night, below freezing but just a couple days before 45 to 50 at night. It's one of those places that defines, "you can't get there from here" Adequate sites with 30amp service, nice Casita style covers over Pickwick tables. Great ranger interaction. we drove up with our…

Lake front with sunset views

We stayed at bell point campground and although it’s still a Rocky hike to the beach the views are breathtaking. Camp was quiet enough (depends on your neighbors). Deer cover the campground. Each camp site has a covered wind break area for eating lunch. No ATVs. Kids loved it and so did dogs.…

Kozy, Clean and Accommodating

We were hit by a blizzard driving through the I-25 pass from Santa Fe to Denver and had to take refuge in the KOA Las Vegas, NM for 2 nights. They quickly got us a space and allowed us to wait out the snow. Clean restrooms and showers, a shop in the grounds that serves breakfast. Hikes nearby. Very…
