Quiet and beautiful

We stayed away from lake because of our dogs. They tend to bark if people go by. The space was nice but the sites were too close for us. I preferred more space for privacy but we’re new to RVing, so perhaps this is normal. Park Ranger was very nice and helped us settle in. The view to the canyon…

Nice spot

Every site has a metal pavilion! Dusty but quiet! Easy to find! Los of room!

Clean and simple in Gallup

We stayed here two nights, one going and one coming back. This is a clean, simple family run camp ground in Gallup, NM. It’s basically a large gravel camp ground with few trees, but very well maintained. There are like 177 sites, and very few long term campers here. We liked it for what it was and…

Fine for just one night

We tried to stay at the Joe Skeen CG and it was full on a Wednesday. Searching further we found this spot. There are "no camping" signs once in the picnic area but nothing indicating no overnight parking or camping on the 3 spots near the TH for the Narrows Rim Trail. It was 7pm when we rolled…

Great Spot in Gallup

This is a really nice RV park on the West side of Gallup with easy access to I-40. It was a perfect overnight stop but would be good for longer stays as well. Access through the park is great, sites are gravel, level, and good size. We had a pull through site which was about 80 feet long and nice…

Perfect spot for a few days of camping no no

We are doing a trip across the country, looking for cheap to free campsite and this one wast perfect. Right off the Interstate, the sign can be easily missed so keep an eye out. We drove 3 miles down a dirt road before picking our spot. You could easily park anywhere but they have some spots with…

Clean, quiet, organized & friendly

Great place to stop & relax. Laundry room large & comfortable. Bathrooms clean. Friendly staff. Only negative is that tent spots don’t have much shade & one picnic table needs replacing.

Beautiful and peaceful

This is a wonderful campground. Our site (A) was perfectly level on a concrete pad. The site came with a large fire ring conveniently located in the rear part of the concrete pad and a picnic table covered with a roofed shelter. The site was clean, spacious, and even though it was not a lake side…

Special Spot

We loved this RV park for many reasons. Friendly people, creative vibe, nice campground, cozy cabins, full hookups for RVs, beautiful spot, free-range chickens, pet friendly, plus a yurt with enchanting wind chimes, spiritual labyrinth, a gong, art and healing artifacts. Not to mention the…

Lakefront camping

Uncrowded when we were there State park located right on a man-made lake. unfortunately, the lake level is extremely low! Decent sites each with picnic table and fire pit some with shade canopies others with a little natural tree cover, not a lot of privacy. Pit toilets, no drinking water available…

Right next to the highway, but you’d never know it was there

We just needed a place to spend the night and arrived late in the evening, so unfortunately we weren’t able to explore the area. We only drove about 1.5 miles passed the gates, but we saw several camp spots with fire rings. The road is grated and well maintained. We really weren’t sure what to…

Great spot for a night’s sleep

Quick drive to this surprisingly secluded place to spend the night on our way through. Road situation is a little confusing—pin drops up to the left, but as we left in the morning we saw some folks who had taken the right side of the initial fork, so seems like both ways are an option. For the left…
