Great FREE camping!

June 2021, great free camp location. Had the place almost all to ourselves. Big rig friendly. Many empty campsites right on the lake.

Lovely spot

We really enjoyed this campground but the RV sites are definitely popular on the weekends. We arrived at about 4 on a Saturday in June. All of the sites were first-come-first-served and the only thing available were the tent sites with no hook ups. We stayed by the kayak put-in and it was…

Neat spot

Cool little park that is free to stay. No showers or this place would have gotten 5 stars (for what it is). You can’t really ask for much more from a free site. It includes electric hookups, but make sure you check to make sure your site works before you get all set up like me 😂

Quiet Campground!

Nice quiet campground! We tent camped, it was a nice grassy spot! Our camp site had a picnic table and a fire ring! We chose one on the end with trees on one side so more privacy! There were very few other campers around! Kayak access down the road from our spot! Bathrooms were nice! You have to…

Not your typical state park

State park ran by local city of Oberlin. Beautiful, well maintained grounds. The drive in leads one to wonder are we there yet? The answer is well kind of. We were sitting in a field in a spot that provided electrical hookups but if you keep going (don’t pull off into the field as we initially did)…

Beautiful campground

Sites were very large with nice mature trees. We were the only people there other than the lady in charge so it was do peaceful and quiet. The dogs loved laying in the grass and frankly so did we.

Shaded

We found ourselves the best little shaded spot. We had a very nice afternoon and night here. We had a fire ring and a great tent area.

Small

This was a small little lake we found on our trip. Caught a few bass. Drank a few beers and had some laughs. It was a good spot for 1 night camping.

Nice stay

A nice campground located on a beautiful lake. Several first come first serve sites that were wooded. A welcome find on a Saturday night without reservation. Nice bathrooms and showers, fire pit and picnic table. Conveniently located not far off I 80. Dump station and clean water are just before…

Nice campground

We came in late and the campground was almost full. They found a place for us to park a Jeep with a roof top tent. All places are flat and good parking and good grass for tents. Set up well. Showers could have been cleaner but ok. The wind blew hard across the lake.

Odd free campground

This state park/campground is definitely.. unique. Following GPS directions to this camping area led us into the park and to a locked gate. Drive beyond the gate and there's an open field to the left with one official 'campsite'. Continue to drive past, following the road around for about 1-2…
