Headworks Park

Fishing enthusiasts and water sports fans will find dual aquatic opportunities at this utility company-managed campground in central Nebraska. A large pond accommodates swimming and kayaking, while an adjacent canal provides fishing access. The facility fills quickly on weekends, particularly sites with electric hookups, so early arrival on Thursday or Friday increases chances of securing preferred spots.

Walk-in access leads to separated camping areas, with RV sites featuring electrical connections clustered together and tent sites positioned off to the side with ample space. An ATV course operates across the property, which can generate noise during peak use periods. The campground allows pets and campfires, with drinking water and restroom facilities available. For additional camping in the region, places to camp around Stromsburg provide alternative options within driving distance.

Guests commonly noted good site spacing and recreational water activities. Noise levels appear inconsistent, with some experiencing four-wheeler sounds while others found it peaceful.

It does the trick

I find that being able to camp here is relaxing and the people are just great. There are no dirt bike or 4 wheelers riding around (not allowed)

SiteI can’t remember I don’t think they are numbered .

Very clean, bit crowded.

If you want a spot where the hookups are, go early on Thursday or Friday. It fills up very quickly. The tent sites are off to the side, but plenty of room. Loup PPD takes very good care of this place! A large pond to swim or kayak in, and great fishing in the canal. There is a four wheeler course on the other side, which can get loud, but if you can ignore that, this is a great little place!
