Daytime use is common, as local anglers regularly fish the pond, but overnight visitors often find themselves alone.
Highway noise is the most consistent detail across reviews. The interstate is audible throughout the night, though several campers note it fades into background noise once traffic thins after dark. The pond draws the most attention for fishing, and Matthew B. notes it is "beautiful little pond for fishing if you have a kayak," with two wheelchair-accessible piers on the cattail-lined bank. Bullfrogs are loud after dark. Spring visitors should check themselves and pets for ticks.
The access road is bumpy enough that slow speeds are advisable, and trailers up to a small or medium size can navigate the turnaround.
