Great city park

$5 for a spot with plenty of distance between others, a bathroom that was cleaned today and a shower. Close to but just out of the town.

Passing Through

Good little spot in a small town. Electrical hook ups but no water. There was a spigot for water but it wasn’t turned in. A couple of porta potties there but we didn’t use them. Room for only one camper with hookups but room for another camper or 2 to park. Some noise from the highway which is…

Right off highway 20. Full service, friendly. Would have been 5 stars, but there was a lot of highway noise.

The Highest Waterfall in NE

Stopped off at this park for a pass through and really enjoyed it. They have trails and boardwalks leading to the fall, and also a nice information and shop room. There are camp sites with no hookups, and easy access to the river for a little tubing. Hidden treasure out in Northwest Nebraska.

Fabulous experience!

I stayed an extra night in Valentine so I could do a float down the river. And I saw that you could camp. I asked one of the guides and he said to stay here. It was right after the Fourth of July I stayed for three nights there was hardly anybody there. Got a great spot right on the river. The…

Great spot for tubing/kayaking

We enjoyed our primitive camping spot here, the bath house was hard to use with kids. No sinks available anywhere. Only two shower rooms available in our area of the camp ground (by the tube/kayak entrance) and one we weren’t able to use due to needed maintenance. We were under the impression we…

Primitive camping with beautiful waterfall

Nice State Park with the highest waterfall in nebraska. Offers hiking, canoe/kayaking, boating, and tubing. Also has concession stand, pay showers, picnic shelters and restrooms. Campground is located 18 miles from Valentine and has reservable sight. There’s about 50 sites and was packed. If you…

Quiet waterfall

Perfect for staying in a tent. The campsites were very close together. Bathrooms were clean. The road to get here was a little bumpy! Watch out for cattle.

Large campground with a variety of spots

This campground stretches along the Niobrara River, so the sites are also spread out.

There is a "family friendly" side, a "party" side, and a woody/secluded area. My group tent camped in the wooded area. Our sites were right along the river, but up a 10Ft embankment.

Lots of wildlife. They do…

Site 1 is the Best

Was extremely lucky to get site #1. Shaded section with a nice little beach to walk into the river. River flows quickly but the sounds right next to the site will lull you to sleep. Has table and fire ring. Showers on grounds but does cost to use the shower. Just bring your quarters. Near by…

Rustic camping, beautiful location

Don't expect anything fancy, but it is a beautiful area. We often have it all to ourselves. Does get busy during "tubing season" hot days during the summer. Lots of tall trees surround the camping sites. They are hard to get an RV into because of the slope and angle of the drives. Worth it once you…

Beautiful Stream Camping

There are some fantastic trails to hike here, some great scenery, and good trout fishing from the stream.

You're able to camp as close to the stream as you're comfortable with, and there is nothing quite like waking up and enjoying a cup of fresh coffee while admiring the visual and auditory…

Close to Heaven

One of our Favorite campsites evvvver! We visited in mid October and had the pick of any of the 140ish campsites, as we were the only ones there. With a little jockeying, we were able to get the rig out on the point. Front steps of the RV just 15’ from the bank of the Niobrara River! Watched deer,…
