Stark, hot, small

Toadstool campground is found down a long accordion gravel road.  There are no trees so plan on only finding shade inside your tent, camper or the table shade.  There are pit toilets and no water. There are picnic tables with shades, fire rings, and upright grills. The area is most visited for it's…

Lots to do, nice sites, historical significance

This is a large park with a couple campgrounds.  One campground had full hookups and the other electric only with water hydrants on the loop.  There are lots of shade trees, a bathhouse with showers and flush toilets.

This campground has many historical signs, a museum, an equine campground,…

Clean, updated, family owned

Just needed a place to stop for a night, found the family to be very nice. Good places to sit and enjoy the sunrise over the ridge, nice walk around the pond with water so clear you can see the bottom 12 ft down and watch the fish like you're at Bass Pro. Showers are clean and updated with…

Pretty, quiet and peaceful!

Stayed a single night but would definitely stay longer. There’s about 13 sites, trash and recycling bins, and clean vault toilets. Sites were well spaced and had picnic tables and fire rings. Fee wasn’t required when I visited. Looks like mid-may is when they begin. Arrived Friday and there were…

Beautiful place

We were here in early October. We rented an RV spot online. Caught a beautiful sunset and stayed right next to the beach and lake even though it was cold. All facilities closed. We paid for full hookup but electricity cut off at 8 in all campgrounds. Probably a glitch.

Owners are awesome

Bathroom and showers are super clean. Owners were helpful in recommending a place to eat and let us pick our spot. Enjoyed the cows who came up to visit.

Pretty good campground!

To start, site was double booked upon arrival but was quickly resolved by the owner. Other than that pretty good campground. Kinda close to the highway so you hear cars all night but a spring fed creek running behind the campsite downs out some of the noise. Despite the highway beautiful scenery!…

Okay for Overnight while Traveling

Very close to highway and related noise. Nice campsites. Not really for extended camping. There is one general restroom small building with vault toilet which was clean.

Awesome hiking!

Factoid: When I stayed here I learned that the Nebraska National Forest is manmade! It is the largest hand planted forest in the US. it felt like a green oasis in the “desert" of Western Nebraska!

I spent 3 days hiking in this Forest and enjoyed every minute on each trail. This area has such…

Half decent choice for a spot

Campground is very small and close to the highway, ground is very hard. Met a nice man who works for the campground and he offered to help. If you are in need of a place to shower and running (non-potable) water this may be for you. The rate for the tent camping was 20$ for the spot and an…

Perfect lake side tent site

We visited cascade falls while we were camped there as well as kidney springs. Felt very close to nature. Bugs were bad but incense sticks and Citronella coils did the job.
