This is a very cool spot. Many beach camping areas at Lake McConaughey. Some people have pulled their trailers within feet of the water to make for some great camping.
Well maintained and organized. Campsites appear close but you aren’t aware of your neighbors. Signs clearly give directives and we were led to our campsite. We were informed of the one local restaurant that delivers if you order by 7:30 as well as given other options for food and attractions. We…
We were absolutely desperate to find a spot late last night so we figured we could trust a KOA to stop at in Nebraska. We’ve stayed at numerous other KOAs where they were conveniently/inconveniently next to the highway. Usually happy that it’s a close drive to get back on the highway but if you’re…
Very friendly staff and very clean park. It's clear the owners are working hard to make you feel welcome.
Typical of an rv park, the sites are close together. As is typical, your entry to your camper is on the hookup side of your neighbor. Not that appealing. But we were just an overnight stop…
After miles of Nebraskan grasslands, this hidden gem appears as a mirage at first. An enormous lake surrounded by white sand beaches offers a tropical sensation. Nice facilities and cheap camping! High winds are likely, but would be ideal during summer months!

It was really early in the season, mid April, and too cold (snow) for most, so the campground was empty. The madern bathhouse wasn't open yet, but pit toilets were available. Showers are by tokens (aka paid ). Everything was clean. Sites could have been more level, but they are doable. …

Very well maintained RV park. They take pride in keeping it clean. Would stay again
I drove beyond the golf course campground & found a spot next to the lake that had a fire ring. The road & plant noise did not bother me. Great spot for a quick overnight stay.
Tent camped on the shore of the reservoir, this was a nice enough spot although a little noisy from the road and power station across the reservoir.
We stayed at the Little Thunder campground for 1 night while passing through Nebraska. Wow! The views were wonderful. We had to pay $8 for an entry fee into the park. Camping fees were paid at the campground using an envelope and a drop box. They offered full hookup sites 1-8 for $37/night and…

Half the campground is FCFS other half is reserved. Every site has water/power/sewer There is shade on almost every site. There is a playground for kids. All outer loop sites face the water.
Felt like I was at an ocean beach in the middle of NEBRASKA. Paid the necessary dues at the entrance to the beach area and then drove along the water to find the perfect spot. Backed the Jeep up to the water and called it home for the night. It was a little windy the day I stayed there...hopefully…

This was a tiny little campground that hit the spot after driving 14 hours. Spotless bathrooms, perfectly groomed campsite, and ridiculously wonderful management! There was a heck of a storm on the horizon and the management kept pulling up radar for us to put our minds at ease! Gave us little…
This was a wonderful KOA that we arrived to at 11:15 at night too with no reservations. It was quick and easy to grab the after hours pack and find a spot. Bathroom and showers very clean. Just a nice setup at this campground and easy to jump right back on 80 to head home.
Great little place for an overnight stop. Super friendly staff and good amenities. Pool closed for COVID-19. Not far from I-80 but just enough that it is very peaceful and quiet. We recommend.
