Lucky!

We booked the last site available on a whim and it ended up being the best view of the light house!

On the edge of the wild

No joke, this was our family’s first camping trip. We have five kids 10 and under. The sites were clean and large. Some are larger than others. Ours was about 15 feet from the next site but that was through trees.

Plenty of drinking water and bathrooms. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit…

Remote hideaway (BWCA entry)

Perfect little campground (and outfitters) right in the lake. Great for those who still want a few amenities.

It’s a dry campground. Water at the outfitters. Vault toilets (clean and nice!) throughout. Water spigots in the campground. Dump station next to the outfitters. Outfitters have basic…

Easy, friendly, beautiful

What a great spot! Quiet and comfortable, and when I called to confirm our spot (we were running late) the site owner was super friendly. The site was well maintained and easy to find even when we arrived after dark. Definitely coming back!!

  • Easy set up at a clean site even when it was long after dark!

Clean, under $50, and safe location on Lake Superior

A rare find - clean, level, large RV sites with full hook ups on the North Shore not filled with residents in all the good sites. Strict rules such as no early check in and no late check out. Tents and rvs also allowed in a section next to the highway with electric only. NOTE: no onsite dump…

Great campground

Spacious, beautiful overlook of Lake superior. The wind off the lake is chilly so bring layers. Firewood is $7, Firestarter are $5. Ppl very friendly and after 10 pm it is quiet. 10/10 would come again

Great Views and Kid friendly

Burlington Bay Campground was clean. The shower house by the playground was clean and new. The playground seemed fairly new and the kids loved playing on it. Walking on the beach lead to a nice City trail. The kids loved climbing all over the rock formations and finding new rocks.

The sites…

Great hiking and privacy

My husband and I absolutely LOVE this campground. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and will definitely be back!! I love that you feel like you’re mikes out of town but you are actually really close to all the fun things that there are to do in Grand Marais! There’s also a lot of hiking…

Perfect...Lots to do in the area.

Sites here can be pretty close so your neighbors are hopefully quiet or people you know. We had to change sites because of some snow and water and the park staff was great at accommodating. We ended up at site 17 and it was perfect. Had a faucet hear us and the bathroom was close. We were out on…

What a great location! Right on the water and peaceful.

What an amazing experience. This is a place to go to get away form it all. The camping here is very different depending on what you want. If you want to hike in a little further there are some great views from your sites. The sites are big, great tree coverage, and some amazing views. Each site is…

Close to Highway, but great location

Seems to be a fairly new camp ground. It was empty when we stopped in. They have two sets of sites here. One is very close to the highway and can get a bit noisy, but the other is a little closer to the beach. I would say anyone can camp here but it looks set up for bigger rigs. I would suggest…

Perfect out of the way spot

Great Park with loads and loads of things to do. Lots of great hikes and the hikes lead out to the backcountry and s few more sites even. Some great sites in here with some variety. We did not stay out in the backcountry but we did run into a couple that were off on a thru hike and offered some…
