Nice sites way back in the woods

Close to Iron Mountain but tucked away in the woods enough to be secluded. We stayed during the week and we're the only site occupied. Very peaceful, lake was very nice

Great Spot

Easy to get to. No service for TMobile or Verizon, but still a great secluded spot.

Great place to stay in Door County

Extremely friendly staff. We had full hookups and a large wooded site. Staff delivered firewood directly to you as well. Everyone was very helpful and extremely friendly

Good stay an hour from Pictured Rocks Natl Lakeshore

Nice site with electricity for our 17' travel trailer on the edge of Indian Lake. Could have gone swimming right off our site if later in summer. Weather was cold at the campground but we had sunshine for a nice hike to the beach at Pictured Rocks Natl Lakeshore. Clean bathrooms with only 1 shower…

We love this campground!

We love Tourist Park, and will definitely be coming back! It’s on the back side of the city of Gwinn, which is a smaller more run down little town, 18 miles from Marquette. But this little campground is well kempt! Quiet and relaxing, tucked in the woods with a nice hiking trail, picnic tables,…

Rowdy Campground, Unprofessional Management.

The campground itself was kinda trashed + kids toys everywhere. The bathrooms were dirty and “out of order” like feces on the floor dirty. They had live music every night during the summer, which started at 7 and went well past midnight. We stayed for a couple hours before packing up and leaving…

Waterfront on a Great Lake!

Waterfront sites here are hard to get but reserving early is totally worth it. Beautiful state park with great hiking and biking trails. Right on Lake Michigan with nice sized sites and a beach, concession stand, kayak and paddle board rentals, tennis courts, nature center and so much more!

Beautiful spot to camp

We got one of the spots closer to the road but turned out great! These spots don't have quite the lake view but seem to feel more quiet and secluded. The lake views were gorgeous, amenities fine. We found this after leaving another spot closer to Marquette that felt uninviting despite all the…

Munising, MI

Super close to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore! This KOA is pretty nice. Has a dog run, facilities including showers/bathrooms/laundry, along with a general store! Decent lot sizes for tents and cabins, we were there in the fall so not as packed in, but would imagine it would be tight during peak…

Nice State Park and campgrounds

The reservation system is easy enough to use and facilities are sufficient. Plenty to do in the park and in the area. Friendly staff and campers. If any issues arise, the staff will be responsive to your needs. Rustic cabins are available. Check out the campground website at Michigan.gov

We are Repeat Campers!

We have stayed here twice and plan to return again this year. Owners are amazing and accommodating. The park has open areas and more secluded areas as well. We visited during Covid and everything was handled wonderfully. It’s a great spot to park and easily explore all of Door County.

Decent if you are the only one there...

The sites are quite close, and it is right off the highway.  Not too far from the dam and there are trails everywhere.  Certain times of the year they will have events and it brings out the rowdy crowd.

Large, but Nice

Penninsula State Park is the largest state park in the Wisconsin system, and that’s clear when visiting in the summer. I stayed at The South Nicolet Bay campgrounds at one of the sites closest to the water. The site was nice, with a reasonable amount of wooded space between neighbors. The real…

One of our favorites!

Despite this park being super popular in the summer, this campground seems to stay quiet. The campsites are clean and shaded. Toilets and showers were pretty clean and centrally located. The beach was packed with families but they seemed to be having a great time. My husband and I rented kayaks—the…
