Typical State Park

Not a bad place, just not amazing either. It’s a good place to make base camp to explore Door County.

Weborg Point Campground

Weborg Point is the first campground in Peninsula State Park. It’s easy to drive right in by as there are only 20 or so campsites. It’s right near the entrance and has a great feel about it. Super quiet at night and right on the water so the stars were amazing. Camping here gets you out of the mass but these sites fill up quick.

Tons to do in Door County

This Campground in fish creek is in an ideal location. The wild tomato pizzeria is at the entrance to the park and a definite must stop. Went in October and did a door County ghost tour and walked around and looked at shops and had an amazing time At the door county fish boil. This is a must experience for everyone!!

Family oriented fun

This state park has 5 separate campgrounds offering full hookups for RVS as well as no service sites with shower houses and flush toilets nearby. The sites were all level with a gravel parking spot and plenty of room for hammocks, tents, screen rooms, etc. We stayed at the Welkers campground at the northern tip of the park which juts out into scenic Nicolet Bay. I loved that the whole park was heavily forested and there was plenty of privacy. Although there were a lot of other campers, everyone was very friendly and several came over to ask us about our mini camper. The state park, which has a $13 daily entrance fee for out of state visitors, offers lots of options for entertainment including swimming beaches, bicycling and hiking trails, a live outdoor theater, a golf course and restaurant, a nature center, lots of picknicking areas, and of course camping which was $25 for a site without services. The cost with the entrance fee was a little high for us, but the park’s proximity to all the other attractions of Door County made it worth while for us.

Versitile camp destination

A wonderful stay during an extended weekend in the fall. Clean facilities, easy access to trails, and not as crowded in the summertime. Even though the park is located in downtown Fish Creek, when you're in the park you don't hear or see much of the town unless you choose to. If you like to stay in the woods or close to the water you can, but if you're one to run into town for dinner a night here or there, that's quite possible. Trails are varied, well maintained, and not overcrowded. Would definitely stay here again!

A park for everyone

One of the most beautiful and largest park/campgrounds in Wisconsin or anywhere else for that matter. It even has its own golf course. Miles and miles of trails. Loads of wild life. Right on lake Michigan. This park leaves you wanting for nothing. Reservations are often made by the first of the year through the state's website. To say this place is popular is an understatement. Call ahead..if you don't get what you want you will have time to locate the many spots that are available. We always try to get sites in the Weborg area so we can go fishing. But there are no bad areas.
