First Dispersed Solo Moto

Rode in on my GS fully packed and as previously reviewed it was a bumpy road from the dam but not difficult. I was the only one here but the neighboring site had a couple people. Very quiet location. Happy I didn’t stop at hotel as it was getting near dark as I rode in and wasn’t sure what to…

Dry and Serene

This is a nice area for dispersed camping.  No water in the reservoir at this time (early September).  Very few other people around, even on labor day weekend, and the area was so quiet and serene.

We stayed along the western side of the reservoir, and there's are little loops you can take in…

Great Location but VERY Run Down

First really nice location …camping right on the Snake river with your own boat dock. But facilities look like they haven’t been updated in 40 years.

It does have an indoor pool but you pay extra to use the pool.

Has REALLY old bathrooms and showers. The facilities are located kind of far from…

Tough to get to but worth it

Located on the shore of Arrowrock reservoir, this camping area is bare bones. The road in is all gravel on a steep hillside along the shore and several miles to get in. Many potholes and ruts. It will take you about 20-30 minutes from Boise to get to the dam and then another 30 minutes to get to…

Camp next to the river!

Easy pull in/out. Picnic areas. Bathrooms were clean. Don't camp on the grass, you will get wet! Sprinklers come on during the night. Easy walk up to balanced rock.

Tree shaded family campground with lawns near river

This campground has two loops. Both are nice with spacious spots. central lawn area for playing games. Plenty of open space for walks/hikes. Very close nearby is the site where Oregon trail pioneers crossed the snake river. There is a barge and other remnants of history to look at. Two RV dumpsites…

Salmon river camping

Less than a dozen sites along a pretty bend in the Salmon River. The sites have picnic tables and grills and rock fire pits under a nice shady stand of cottonwoods. Try and get either the first or last spots as they have easy river access; the rest of the spots have little tunnels through the…

Military Strike Camp

Spring Break gave us a unique 2019 quiet camping at the military cabins. A bit chilly when the wind picks up so dress warm and remember to pack extra layers and hand warmers. Fishing was great as we were the only people at the cabins. MHAFB rental cabins also rents boats. The cabins are a step…

Beautiful Park

We got here about 3:30 on a Friday and we got the last spot. They have a lot , but we’re full. The lady at the gate was very nice. It cost $36 for us since we were from out of town. The sites are very nice. Long paved with water and electric on one side and the pick-nik table behind us. It has 1…

Quiet and free, Dispersed

We drove way past Lucky Peak Res until we saw trees. There are 2 pull offs here with lots of spots to camp. There are lots of firepits around the area and water access. Cool spot.

New owners & name. Worn out.

A lot of trees are dead or gone. The office person has never heard of The Dyrt app, so no discount. 30 amp electric & water for 39 a night. Think it's on it's way down. Hope they prove me wrong. Oh! It is nestled between the freeway & the railroad tracks. Quaint.

Two thumbs down Campsite for tents

Well, that wasn’t fun. If anyone is planning on tent camping here, I would highly suggest going somewhere else. The dunes are awesome, but wow were the sites a let down. The fields had no grass and minimal shade. I ended up sleeping in my car but with the heat, needed the windows down. That’s when…

nice spot, weird amenities

i loved my campsite on the water….got afternoon shade. nice wifi signal. i am surprised that they don’t offer showers or running water, since it is available in abundance. i think it is silly that you have to pay extra for the pool. this place is great but overpriced

Perfect and stunning quiet spot

We rolled through on a Wednesday. There was two sets of campers at opposite ends. We chose a spot near the end that worked well for our car top camper. Bathrooms were VERY warm. Trash cans at each site. Sprinklers run during the days that say no camping allowed on grass. Make sure to pack away…
