Nestled next to an old ghost town with a creek flowing around it. No att coverage, super quiet. No hook ups. Vault toilets, community water faucet. Plenty of room for our 30’ trailer and truck. Just empty your tanks and fill up on water, food and supplies in Dillon. Heavily shaded. Bring a generator to charge you bank, though I felt bad about running them because of the disruption in the serenity.

If you’re looking to get far off the beaten path, this is your spot. Vault toilets and trash, very small loop. Possible to fit 30’ trailer. Will be difficult to maneuver. Bit of a drive from Dillon and you’ll want to stock up on supplies. Dry camping for sure. Lots of trees and you’re over looking a like. Only one camp site was being used in early June. Gets real chilly at night and mornings. Long drive through cattle country on mostly dirt roads with plenty of cattle that cross in their time. I’d recommend going for several days, not just a 1 nighter. Plenty of fishing and hiking available. Drivable Forrest paths as well. Tons of wild life to spend time with.

Only RV location with hookups around the lake. Make sure to call in advance after October as they close for the season.

Decent space between gravel sites but no real shade for hotter days. Boat ramp access as part of their park. Verizon had spotty signal (less than 1 bar).

on the Clark canyon resivour. Great place to camp. picnic tables are in a shelter for each camping space, vault toilets are clean, there is garbage cans available, and pump up water. There is also a boat ramp but lake is low right now.

This is a nice smaller forest service campground adjacent to grasshopper creek. A great spot to stay if exploring the Pioneer Mountains.

There are 7-8 spaces, most suitable for a trailer or van. We were tent camping as were others. There are vault toilets and the ubiquitous forest service green potable water pumps/drinking fountains.

There are no dumpsters so have to pack trash out. There are campground hosts but they don’t have firewood for sale, so either need to bring or be prepared to do quite a bit of hunting for wood. The area around the campground is picked pretty clean of good firewood.

This is bear country and there are food storage boxes located throughout the campground for shared use. I expect the presence of bears is also why they don’t have any dumpsters on site.

The campground sits at approximately 7000 feet and by late summer gets near freezing temps overnight. Bring your fall/winter sleeping bag if tent camping here in late August or late Spring!

Just a few minutes up the road from the campground is Elkhorn Hot Springs where you can pay a few bucks to use the rustic pool and hot springs.

$5 a night, no hookups or dump/water on site. Beautiful setting. Not great but usable Verizon and T-Mobile cell service. Loop is a bit tight in spots so I wouldn't recommend it for a large 5'er or motorhome.

This was a great camping experience. The campgrounds are at the base of a Beautiful lake. There are lots of fish to be caught. Fish and Game stock it twice a year. There are four wheeler trails outside the campground and there is a hike loop right in the campground.

camping all around this huge reservoir as well as great fishing. there are six campgrounds here. camping is first come, first served and free at all except for lewis and clark campground which has full rv hook-ups. the price there is $30 per night and half price with senior pass.

Wonderful location with very little wifi services. If you want to relax in a very nice, park setting, surrounded by mountains, this would be your place.

Big spaces in the middle area. Smaller spots on the river. Modest but competent shower and laundry room.

Would stay again.

This small campground is right along the highway so it has easy access… and some highway noise. It is small, but we were there by ourselves 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. Camp sites are well spaced with their own fire pits and picnic tables. The roads and campsites are paved. However, they had just cut the grass and weeds, which we appreciated, but they left all their clippings around the campsites, so we used our rake and broom to clean it up. The parking area for the small boat launch is nearby, so there were people around most mornings and evenings. This is right on the Salmon River so a good place to camp if fishing the Salmon. No cell phone reception for Verizon. There was an osprey nest right by our campsite which had some babies and parents which were interesting to watch.
