Palm Shores RV Park is a growing, family park on Brevard County’s picturesque Indian River. It’s a vibrant region of Florida where recreational and entertainment opportunities abound. We’re next to the Pineda Causeway only minutes from the beach, so there’s always plenty to do here.

Our park offers reliable electrical hookup, water, sewer, garbage pickup, and laundry facilities. Long-term residents can have cable and Internet installed, too. Our large pull-through lots are designed to accommodate bigger RVs.

Well organized campground at good rate

We booked last minute in January for an overnight stay with a 25ft RV. They were able to accommodate us. Majority of guests are here for long term. They all made us newbies feel very welcome. Paid 55$ for full hook-up. Poor wifi reception.

Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo

    River Ranch RV Resort

You can get a RV site through Westgate which is more of a field or through River Ranch RV Resort which has full hook-ups. We stayed on a waterfront site at River Ranch RV Resort and it was perfect! We were able to fish right off the dock at our site, there was a fit pit and grill, as well as seating outside (each site could be configured differently). At Westgate River Ranch (walking distance from our site but still got a golf cart) we went to the rodeo on Saturday night, did a swamp buggy ride, skeet shooting, petting zoo and rode a mechanical bull... and there was still more we could have done but ran out of time since we still wanted to relax some 🙃 If you're looking for a great site with tons of activities available River Ranch RV Resort is the place for you!

Ranger Review: Umara Z-Trail Shoes by Xero @ Sunshine Travel RV Resort

Campground Review: Sunshine Travel RV Resort is an encore/thousand trails campground. The grounds are very well maintained with lots of amenities like pool, horseshoe, shuffleboard, Mini gold course, clubhouse with restrooms and an attached laundry facility. Since we were there for a soccer tournament, it was nice to have a place to wash the stinky uniforms in between games. We never saw any staff because the office is closed on weekends which posed a small problem when we had an issue in the laundry room. Other than that, it was a nice reasonably priced place to stay with a variety of campers, permanent residents and cabins for rent. Gear review: I wore my Xero Umara Z-trail shoes all weekend. It is my second pair to receive and I love them. So comfortable you hardly know they are there. No rub areas or hot spots from long use. I have worn them in a kayak, riverbed, soccer field, running track and just around the house. Highly recommend giving them a try!

Top 20 RV Parks for us!

Lots of long term RVers and very few sites for Thousand Trails Members. Very close to Cocoa Beach!

We enjoy this park a lot because it has so much to offer nearby, They have narrow spots but great landscaping. There are some permanent structures, mostly rentals and some that seem to be owned. You will get to feel and hear rocket launches from Cape Canaveral.

This park has easy access to the highway. Approximately 30 minutes from Cocoa Beach, and Cape Canaveral.

They didn’t seem to have sections that were very different from one another.

Cell signals: Decent cell service for T-Mobile and AT&T

They have: A Pool 1 Hot Tub Shuffle Board Club House Mail Room Camp Store A small pond Alligators Laundry Several Fountains Friday Flea Market/Swap Meets Lots of clubhouse activities Community Board Hair Salon

The park is clean, quiet, safe, and near attractions we love.

    Camelot RV Park

    Excellent Personal Service

Camelot RV Park is a 55yr plus camp ground. Its quiet and relaxed. They have everything, amenities wise. The lots are immaculate with full hook-ups and a patio with a picnic table. There is a heated pool and fishing on the river. There is a recreation hall with a kitchen as well. The bathrooms and showers are very nice. I would recommend Camelot to anyone for an enjoyable, relaxing place to camp.

Stay at River Ranch RV Resort Next Door Instead

This review relates to River Ranch RV Resort, which is next to the Westgate property. I would personally not stay at the Westgate RV since it is basically just an open field with RV spots.

River Ranch RV next door is a beautiful place with fantastic spots. We stayed in spot 323 which had its own swing and fireplace. Our 37 ft rig fit perfectly and five year old loved riding bike around the park. Everyone was super friendly and I recommend renting a golf cart, though expensive at $60 a day,

Be aware of telephone phone reception. At our spot we could not get any reception with ATT. After buying a Verizon hotspot down the road in Lake Wales, we were able to WFH.a

Would highly recommend this spot in Central Florida.

Lucky Clover RV & Mobile Home Park

    Convenient park for long-term stays

My partner and I were looking for a snow-bird location for the winter in the Melbourne area and came across this park. We read the old reviews and wanted to make sure we left a more up-to-date review for others.

So here's the deal... There aren't many RV parks in the area(at least near where we wanted to be) so options were slim. We spoke with Sue, the absolutely outstanding property manager, and decided to give the park a try. It is important to note, the park is under new ownership/management(Parakeet Communities- parakeetcommunities-dot-com/community/lucky-clover/). The new management has worked*extremely* hard to clean up and revitalize the park so please try to ignore some of the older reviews.

This park is definitely not for overnight or even weekly stays. This is a long-term mobile home and RV community with individuals who either live here full-time or for at least several(6+) months at a time. Navigating the inside roads with a big-rig is only possible with the help of the on-site property maintenance person, Jason, who is also amazingly friendly and helpful. The spaces are close together but even with our 43' fifth wheel, we were able to back-in to our space easily enough.

We have found all residents in the park to be extremely friendly, polite, and all live with a tremendous sense of community pride in the park. Our immediate neighbors walked over and introduced themselves the first day we moved in, which was so delightful and welcoming. We know our neighbor's names and feel very welcomed and safe in this park.

< 6 month rates are$1,400/mo and>6 month rates are around$1,100(or thereabouts). Rent includes electricity, water, sewer, and trash. There is a laundry building with washers/dryers but we have not used them. The park is in a prime location near shopping, groceries, restaurants, and is walking distance to the beach. There is also a well-kept swimming pool on property however, we have not had a chance to take a dip; It looks nice enough though. Cellular service is decent in the park however, if you will be here long-term, it would be best to purchase Internet service through Spectrum for$50/mo. All sites have Spectrum cable hookups but you will need to purchase your own TV/Internet service.

    Badass campground

We actually got a spot at RRRVR (river ranch RV resort) which is on the backside by the smoke house restaurant. It was lot 196 and it was FANTASTIC! River ranch has so much to do. Rodeos, food, putt putt, petting zoo- and tons more. A great family venue. Will definitely be back.

    Manatee Hammock Campground

    Okay for short term

This campground is right on the river, and has both RV and tent camping sites. The lanes are rather narrow, and it’s all one way, so depending where you’re at, you may end up circling the whole campground just to take your trash out.

We were there in late spring/early summer for a month, and it was okay. They do allow long term tent campers, so you’ll see lots of tents with huge tarps over them.

This campground fills up on the weekends, so it’s busier, more crowded, and a little loud.

I would probably not recommend this for long term, but it is one of the most reasonably priced campgrounds (that aren’t 55+) in the area.

    Treasure Coast RV Park

An RV Resort That’s Worth the Gold

OK, the many RV parking lots claiming to be a ‘resort’ IMHO don’t ever live up to the hype – they simply set the expectations at an all-time high and then fail to deliver, but Treasure Coast RV Resort, perfectly situated between Vero Beach and Port St. Lucie (excellent location puts it just 1 mile to both 95 and FL Turnpike) delivers in spades.

To begin with, despite the first impressions you might have of the place given the war-torn side street you’ll have to take north to access this location and the obfuscated sign that likely will have you drive right by the entrance, once you do make your way here, you’ll be impressed as soon as you turn in. The welcome reception / manager’s office feels like a luxury resort welcoming lounge (minus being greeted by Mr. Rourke and Tatoo serving up a tropical drink with an umbrella in it). Once you get checked in, the front desk staff will ensure you are properly deluged with all sorts of local information as well as vitals on the campground itself.

The pads you’ll be parking on are newly poured concrete and the whole place is landscaped to full effect. Behind the welcome reception is the community pool (and hot jacuzzi – bonus points!), which is pretty amazing (and also feels brand spanking new). Beyond this, the entire grounds are surrounded by a good size pond (where I believe swimming in is frowned upon). All the traditional hook-ups are offered (30/50 electrical amps, water, sewage, etc.) and amenities such as picnic tables and community grills as well as free WiFi and cable. There’s a clubhouse that has ping pong, a billiards table and a few card playing tables. The restroom / shower facilities are incredibly clean and overall excellent and there’s also a coin-operated laundr-O-mat.

One of the best features of the property is that it is entirely gated and there’s a security gate where you’ll have to swipe to gain access. While there’s not much in the way of foliage around each of the sites (you’ll have complete visibility to your neighbors – OK, in reality, to the whole neighborhood) but aside from this, you’ll find plenty of space between you and the other RV’s here.

Insider’s tips? While there’s a ton to see and explore within the surrounding area, I highly recommend exploring Okeechobee, Hutchinson and Jupiter Islands, Jensen Beach and for excellent kayaking, head on over to Sewall’s Point, but get there early before the crowds make it difficult to get your flotation device in the water.

    Happy Camping!

    Decent RV spot

This is a basic KOA with full hook ups. It’s an older facility located in town. There’s a grocery store within walking distance. It’s not my idea of a great camping spot but meets the need when passing thru or visiting someone in the area. Nice staff.

    Joy RV Park

    Great Customer Service and Location!

We've had the pleasure of staying at both site 185 and 11, and our experience was delightful with both choices! The front office staff consistently exudes helpfulness and politeness. Each site is equipped with water hookups, electric connections, and sewage facilities. What's impressive is that these amenities are available on every site, setting them apart as the most competitively priced campground in the vicinity—my thorough research of other options confirms this. Notably, JOY RV offers the flexibility of both short-term and long-term stays, a versatility that distinguishes them from neighboring campgrounds. On top of that, they provide onsite storage options, complimentary wifi, a refreshing pool, impeccably maintained showers and restrooms, and a convenient laundry facility. For those requiring a peaceful environment to focus on tasks like schoolwork or professional assignments, the spacious and tranquil clubhouse proves to be a valuable asset—I, personally, take full advantage of this convenience. The campground enjoys a strategic location with a nearby Sam's Club for shopping convenience. Plus, its direct access to the interstate simplifies travel to Melbourne(approximately 30 minutes away), Daytona Beach(roughly an hour's drive), and even Orlando(merely 45 minutes away). It's undeniable that this location is prime. In our quest for the perfect camping spot, stumbling upon JOY RV was a stroke of luck. Without reservation, we wholeheartedly endorse it to fellow travelers seeking a phenomenal experience.

    A secret paradise

I almost didn't want to review this amazing place. I wanted to keep it a secret.

If you like kayaking and uniquely Florida nature, this is it. This is paradise. List marshlands with twists and cuts for paddling. Birds you never knew existed. Great fishing. And of course, alligators. I could live there, easily.

    Pros and cons

I chose to camp here based on the previous reviews. Here’s my take. Pros: Close to Kennedy Space Center, pool, fishing pier, large off-leash dog park, full hook-up, canoe/kayak launch. Cons: Sites are small and close to one another, most people have a lot of “stuff” at their site, some groups can be quite loud into the evening hours, no campfire ring, trains come by during the night. No hiking available within the park. Sites experience a lot of washout when it rains. Several sites are close enough to a major road to hear the traffic quite easily.

Hands down this is the best RV part we have ever found and we’ve been everywhere! The sites are roomy, easy to get in, level, and the entire park is manicured! This is a great place to spend the winter season and easy to make friends. In a normal year , not 2020, there is always things going on like bingo, ice cream sundaes, seasonal dinners, and breakfasts. Once you get a spot your not going to want to let it go.

Nice park, close to the beach

Decent RV park close to the beach. Had a back in site. Gravel under the RV so not quite level. No fires allowed, heated pool was very nice for the kids.

    Wonderful Park

We discovered this place on a vacation trip to see a friend on Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce FL. We are now camping here seasonally in a 35 ft Class A RV. There's a large pool, a good-sized general / convenience store with all the essentials you might need, and a full restaurant right on site. The RV sites vary in size and set-up, most are level, most have a concrete patio. most have full hook-ups. There are also a number of "villas" (short, single-wide manufactured homes) that people either rent for an extended stay, or own, interspersed throughout the park. Many people live here year-round, and even more live here for three or six months during winter. There are 3 rustic cabins and a few spaces for tents. While this is billed as a "family" resort, most of the longer-term campers are retired, or "digital nomads" that work remotely. There are a few families with kids, and a few people like us who don't have children but are younger than retirement age. It's a good mix. There are adult activities - Bingo, karaoke, jam sessions, trivia night, pickleball, tennis, shuffleboard, Pentaque, cornhole, basketball, crafts (for adults), and more. Short stays are not cheap, but longer stays are pretty affordable considering the great pool and all there is to do. Oh, there are fireplaces at the premium pull-through sites, fires are allowed on regular sites only in a raised, enclosed firepit. There is also community firepit. We love it here.

    Location and satisfies the needs

It is a smaller rv park that has electric and water. There are about 50% that live here. There are 2 unisex bathrooms with showers. The internet works, so does TMobile. It is walking distance to Publix and a restaurant/marina.
