Best RV Parks & Resorts near Vero Beach, FL

Vero Beach RV parks offer a mix of seasonal and year-round accommodations with varying site configurations. Sunshine Travel RV Resort provides full hookup sites with 30/50-amp service, while Vero Beach Kamp features 120 sites with water, electric, and sewer connections. Treasure Coast RV Park in nearby Fort Pierce maintains concrete pads wide enough for RVs with extended awnings, and most sites include picnic tables. Several parks accommodate large motorhomes with pull-through options and big rig access. The sites at Treasure Coast are particularly spacious, with "level concrete pads and a brick patio area with a picnic table. All sites have water, sewer, 50-30-20 amp electric, and cable TV," according to one reviewer.

Seasonal availability affects reservation options throughout the region, with winter months drawing numerous snowbirds to the area. Many parks fill quickly from December through March, requiring advance bookings. Cell service varies between locations, with reviewers noting "decent cell service for T-Mobile and AT&T" at Space Coast RV Resort, while Long Point Park reportedly has "poor cell service for T-mobile." Most parks provide dump stations, though some like St. Lucie South limit free dumping to once weekly. Pet policies generally allow dogs with standard leash requirements, and several parks feature dedicated dog areas. Proximity to beaches ranges from 20-30 minutes at inland locations to just a few minutes at coastal RV parks.

Lucky Clover RV & Mobile Home Park

    Convenient park for long-term stays

My partner and I were looking for a snow-bird location for the winter in the Melbourne area and came across this park. We read the old reviews and wanted to make sure we left a more up-to-date review for others.

So here's the deal... There aren't many RV parks in the area(at least near where we wanted to be) so options were slim. We spoke with Sue, the absolutely outstanding property manager, and decided to give the park a try. It is important to note, the park is under new ownership/management(Parakeet Communities- parakeetcommunities-dot-com/community/lucky-clover/). The new management has worked*extremely* hard to clean up and revitalize the park so please try to ignore some of the older reviews.

This park is definitely not for overnight or even weekly stays. This is a long-term mobile home and RV community with individuals who either live here full-time or for at least several(6+) months at a time. Navigating the inside roads with a big-rig is only possible with the help of the on-site property maintenance person, Jason, who is also amazingly friendly and helpful. The spaces are close together but even with our 43' fifth wheel, we were able to back-in to our space easily enough.

We have found all residents in the park to be extremely friendly, polite, and all live with a tremendous sense of community pride in the park. Our immediate neighbors walked over and introduced themselves the first day we moved in, which was so delightful and welcoming. We know our neighbor's names and feel very welcomed and safe in this park.

< 6 month rates are$1,400/mo and>6 month rates are around$1,100(or thereabouts). Rent includes electricity, water, sewer, and trash. There is a laundry building with washers/dryers but we have not used them. The park is in a prime location near shopping, groceries, restaurants, and is walking distance to the beach. There is also a well-kept swimming pool on property however, we have not had a chance to take a dip; It looks nice enough though. Cellular service is decent in the park however, if you will be here long-term, it would be best to purchase Internet service through Spectrum for$50/mo. All sites have Spectrum cable hookups but you will need to purchase your own TV/Internet service.

    Road Runner Travel Resort

    Wonderful Park

We discovered this place on a vacation trip to see a friend on Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce FL. We are now camping here seasonally in a 35 ft Class A RV. There's a large pool, a good-sized general / convenience store with all the essentials you might need, and a full restaurant right on site. The RV sites vary in size and set-up, most are level, most have a concrete patio. most have full hook-ups. There are also a number of "villas" (short, single-wide manufactured homes) that people either rent for an extended stay, or own, interspersed throughout the park. Many people live here year-round, and even more live here for three or six months during winter. There are 3 rustic cabins and a few spaces for tents. While this is billed as a "family" resort, most of the longer-term campers are retired, or "digital nomads" that work remotely. There are a few families with kids, and a few people like us who don't have children but are younger than retirement age. It's a good mix. There are adult activities - Bingo, karaoke, jam sessions, trivia night, pickleball, tennis, shuffleboard, Pentaque, cornhole, basketball, crafts (for adults), and more. Short stays are not cheap, but longer stays are pretty affordable considering the great pool and all there is to do. Oh, there are fireplaces at the premium pull-through sites, fires are allowed on regular sites only in a raised, enclosed firepit. There is also community firepit. We love it here.

    Encore Space Coast

Top 20 RV Parks for us!

Lots of long term RVers and very few sites for Thousand Trails Members. Very close to Cocoa Beach!

We enjoy this park a lot because it has so much to offer nearby, They have narrow spots but great landscaping. There are some permanent structures, mostly rentals and some that seem to be owned. You will get to feel and hear rocket launches from Cape Canaveral.

This park has easy access to the highway. Approximately 30 minutes from Cocoa Beach, and Cape Canaveral.

They didn’t seem to have sections that were very different from one another.

Cell signals: Decent cell service for T-Mobile and AT&T

They have: A Pool 1 Hot Tub Shuffle Board Club House Mail Room Camp Store A small pond Alligators Laundry Several Fountains Friday Flea Market/Swap Meets Lots of clubhouse activities Community Board Hair Salon

The park is clean, quiet, safe, and near attractions we love.

    Whispering Palms Resort

55 and over campground Snowbird haven !

Very clean, all sites are concrete and mostly level. A mix of 30 and 50 amp hookups with water and sewer as well. There are 2 swimming pools, one is designated for families traveling with children. There is a small lake for catch and release fishing. Shuffleboard, tennis, horseshoe, bocce ball, and pickle ball courts. There are a couple of community building, one for playing pool (4 tables) and a card room. Another building for larger community events. It is a dog friendly campground, dogs must always be on a leash and not left outside unattended. After a full COVID recovery more community events are being planned. About 85% of the campground are permanent residents. Short term camping in the front of the park with some pull through sites for the big rigs. Easy access off of US Hwy 1 Sebastian, Fl.

    St Lucie South

    Beautiful getaway

The staff at check-in was the best. I talk with several over my 5 day stay sharing ideas and stories. Very helpful. The spots are laid out perfect. Easy to backend. Concert pads, gravel fire pit and covered picnic tables. No bad views i was in 3 different sites during my stay. Grounds are kept clean, cut, trim and edged. Reception good on t.v. Antenna and dish satellite. No wifi on sites but free wifi at reception area. Great river views. 3 bars on T-mobile. Your right at the locks so watch the boats pass from the gulf to the Ocean. Horseshoe pits. Clean showerhouse. Tent camping is primitive m. All RV sites have water 30 and 50 amp service. Sites on river will hold 45’ class A. Close to shopping. All sites have 30/50 amp service and water. Sewer is not available. Dump station near exit on way out,  Because of the cleanest of the campground and the friendly staff I rate this a five. they make up for the only downfall of being allowed to dump once per week or there is a fee of $20.00.  there is no charge for a honey wagon dump.  I would assume the extra fee is to encourage water management since there has been issues with algae growth in the waterways.

    Long Point Park Campground

    First time camper’s opinion

This is the first time we have gone camping in our new travel trailer. Therefore, I don’t have the experience to compare to. For what it’s worth…The sites are clean and have a picnic table and fire ring. Although I believe there is a burn ban at the moment. The outer sites at the waters edge have only electric and water hookups. There are some sites that have sewer hookups as well but are not directly on water. Some sites have a larger opening through the brush than others. I appreciate that you can view a photo of site when booking on their website. There is a dump station in the campground if needed. Staff that checked me in was friendly. Dog friendly. Very nice experience.

Pine Grove Campground — Jonathan Dickinson State Park

Pleasant area. Book far in advance!

There are limited options for affordable camping in this part of Florida, so plan to book your stay here a while in advance as it fills up. We are lucky to snag two nights here on our way to Miami. Lots of hiking options and some really nice views. The RV park has full hookups and is almost completely filled with older adult campers high end big rigs. Clean facilities and level sites though.

    Fort Pierce-Port St. Lucie KOA

    Close to town and well-kept

General: Small family-run KOA campground (33 sites) located 1.5 miles north of Fort Pierce on Highway One. All sites are FHU with a combination of regular, premium, and extra-large sites. There is also a tent site area.

Site Quality: All sites are level and gravel with a fire pit and a brick patio area with a picnic table. Typical RV park layout with minimal to no privacy separating sites.

Bathhouse: Two unisex all-in-ones that were clean and air-conditioned. The shower had immediate hot water and good water pressure.

Activities/Amenities: There is a small playground and pet area plus a clean spacious laundry area. It is close to town. There is a manatee center and Navy Seal Museum (but we didn’t explore either one) close by in addition to shops and restaurants in Fort Pierce. I was able to enjoy a 3-mile run to town and back on sidewalks.

This campground was more expensive than we usually like to spend but it was a convenient location for us to have dinner with a family friend. We arrived after the office was closed so did not have any interaction with staff but our check-in paperwork was readily available. We appreciate that we were tucked in at the rear of the property which lessened the road noise (and we didn’t have neighbors on either side of us). I would rate this three stars for our purposes but as it was well-kept and for others may suit their needs, it merits four stars in general.

Guide to Vero Beach

Vero Beach camping areas offer diverse accommodations throughout Florida's central Atlantic coast. Most RV parks near Vero Beach sit within a 20-minute drive of the beach, with several properties located along Highway 1. Winter campers should note that temperatures typically range from 55-75°F from December through February, while summer months can exceed 90°F with high humidity. The area experiences occasional afternoon thunderstorms during summer months, particularly July through September.

What to do

Beach access: Sites at Causeway Cove Marina and RV Park put you a short walk from water activities. "Across the street is a beautiful beach right on the Fort Pierce Inlet. Perfect for kids. Very shallow and no current. Beautiful clean blue water," notes Doug B. The facility also offers "boat and jet ski rentals available right on site."

Rocket launches: Several campgrounds provide viewing opportunities for Cape Canaveral rocket launches. From Vero Beach Kamp, campers can witness these events. "Watched a rocket launch from our campsite," reports Mack W. The proximity to the space center allows campers to incorporate launch viewing into their travel plans.

Water recreation: The intercoastal waterways near Fort Pierce offer fishing and boating opportunities. "If you're a boater, then this is for you," explains David S. about Causeway Cove. Many campgrounds provide marina facilities or direct water access for various watercraft activities.

What campers like

Clean facilities: Campers consistently mention well-maintained bathrooms and common areas at Treasure Coast RV Park in Fort Pierce. "Very clean restroom and shower house. Numerous washers and dryers in laundry room. Nice pool area," writes Rick. The park maintains "nice size sites and while you're close to your neighbor there is a bit of a grass buffer."

Site configurations: Many parks offer concrete pads with various amenities. "The sites are roomy, easy to get in, level, and the entire park is manicured," explains Nancy S. about Treasure Coast RV Park. Level sites with concrete pads make setup easier for larger rigs.

Swimming options: Most Vero Beach area RV parks maintain community pools. At Ocean Breeze Resort, "the facilities are amazing. Beautiful large pool with a bar and very clean modern bathrooms and showers," according to Ransom J. Heated pools extend swimming seasons into winter months.

What you should know

Train proximity: Some campgrounds experience noise from nearby rail lines. At Ocean Breeze Resort, "the campsite is right by the train tracks to Miami, and it feels like the train is barreling through your van. This goes on all night, thanks to a few railroad crossings with plenty of honking," warns Wolfram B.

Reservation timing: Winter months see high occupancy rates with seasonal residents. "The park starts to thin out end of March," notes Rick about Treasure Coast. Summer months typically offer more availability and better rates.

Permanent resident mix: Several parks house a combination of transient and permanent residents. At Sunshine Travel RV Resort, "the configuration of the park in relation to the full time residents was odd. The campers were placed randomly in between the full time residents," explains Douglas T.

Road noise: Highway proximity affects some campgrounds. Space Coast RV Resort "was close to the Interstate so if you are looking for a place to stop for the night...I would suggest keep moving on," advises Ronald C.

Tips for camping with families

Pool amenities: Facilities with swimming pools provide entertainment options. "The heated pool was very nice for the kids," reports Sven L. about Space Coast RV Resort. Many parks include community activities centered around pool areas.

Beach proximity: Consider travel time to beaches when booking with children. Vero Beach Equestrian Club provides relatively easy access to nearby beaches compared to more inland locations, though specific travel times vary by traffic conditions.

Pet policies: Rules regarding dogs vary significantly between parks. "Aggressive breeds allowed without muzzles" concerns some guests at Vero Beach Kamp. One visitor reported: "Witnessed a pitbull get loose from its owner and attacked two small dogs the dogs had to go to the veterinarian hospital."

Tips from RVers

Site selection: Choose sites away from common areas for reduced noise. "We had a site that backed up to the nature preserve it was fabulous to look out our back window and look at nature and not another RV," shares chad N. about Silver Palms RV Resort.

Spacing considerations: Site dimensions affect comfort levels. "The sites are very tight and no dog park. They have some nice spots but they put me in the back like a sardine," notes Ronald C. about Space Coast RV Resort. Site width influences awning usage and outdoor living space.

Utility connections: RV sites typically offer multiple electrical options. Treasure Coast RV Park provides "water, sewer, 50-30-20 amp electric, and cable TV," according to Ari A. Connection placement and accessibility vary by campground.
