Best Dog-Friendly Camping near Grant, FL

Long Point Park Campground features waterfront camping with water access directly from most sites. The county-operated park welcomes pets at all campsites, offering grassy areas for exercise and shoreline exploration. Sebastian Inlet State Park Campground, Vero Beach Kamp, and Donald MacDonald Campground also permit dogs throughout their facilities. Most campgrounds maintain standard pet policies requiring leashes no longer than six feet, proper waste disposal, and supervision at all times. Campers consistently report the area as genuinely pet-friendly rather than merely pet-tolerant. The shared water/electric pedestals between neighboring sites can create tight quarters for larger RVs with pets, so selecting an odd-numbered site ensures hookups align properly with your camper.

Dogs particularly enjoy the shoreline access at Long Point Park where they can wade alongside their owners. The nearby public beaches provide additional exercise opportunities, though specific dog regulations vary by location. Sebastian Inlet State Park offers excellent pet-friendly hiking trails within short driving distance. Campers should prepare for Florida's persistent insects, especially no-see-ums and mosquitoes, which affect both humans and pets. Bug repellent formulated for pets is essential during summer months. The barrier island location offers excellent opportunities for dogs to join kayaking and paddleboarding adventures, with numerous shallow water areas perfect for wading. The common areas provide ample space for dogs to walk, though the campgrounds can become crowded during winter months when northern visitors occupy most sites.

    Jetty Park Campground

    Bad

No dogs allowed and they like many Florida parks should have some way for Fl residence to actually be able to camp in Florida but no they don’t

    Super chill place

Great place for a stop over. Needed a place to hangout for a few weeks. This place fit the bill. Dog park, little restaurant, general store, pool, basketball court and lots of shaded spots (my fave when in Florida) would definitely recommend.

    Sonrise Palms RV

Peaceful Pocket on the Space Coast

There is something instantly calming about pulling into Sonrise Palms RV Park (you will want to note that misspelled 'Sonrise' otherwise you won't find this place on your GPS), tucked just off I-95 in Cocoa, where the pace slows down and the setting feels more like a quiet neighborhood packed with RVs than a busy campground, with spacious, mostly level sites, palm trees and greenery scattered throughout along with an EZ layout that makes settling in feel effortless. With around 80 to 90 full hookup sites, a heated pool, clean bathhouse and laundry, and even small touches like a dog park and canal fishing, this spot has all the essentials covered without feeling overwhelming. One evening, we grabbed a casual dinner nearby called The Grass Shack and came back to let the boys unwind at the pool while my hubby and I walked the grounds, spotting little bits of wildlife and enjoying that warm Florida night air before heading back for a cozy wind-down at our site. I would absolutely recommend this campground for families looking for a relaxed, low-key stay thanks to its quiet atmosphere, very clean bathroom and shower facilities as well as EZ access to nearby beaches, rocket launches and Space Coast adventures just a short drive away.

    Manatee Hammock Campground

Best place to see a launch!

THIS quaint little park is so delightful. With so many gorgeous water birds and trees. The park sits off the Indian River and is the perfect place to catch a launch. The are also very dog friendly and have a dog park. The dock is also the perfect place to catch some redfish or snook. Had a wonderful time in this tucked away little spot.

Management is a nightmare for long term. Save your trouble and go elsewhere

We sold our house in West Palm Beach and relocated to Vero Beach for work, choosing to stay in our RV at this park while awaiting our new home to be built. Initially, we were excited, but the management at this park turned out to be a nightmare. Despite the reasonable and straightforward rules, we faced constant harassment. We have two dogs that we walk multiple times a day. There are no trash cans or doggy bags on the property except in the dog park, so we took the initiative to buy an outdoor trash can and a bulk supply of dog waste bags to ensure we cleaned up after our pets. Yet, we received weekly notices accusing us of not cleaning up after our dogs. Each time I went to the main office to discuss these notices, I was told to“just ignore it” as it was likely a“pesty neighbor.” Additionally, when family visited us for the day and parked at our RV slot, we received notices about parking violations. After discussing this with the office, we were advised to have our visitors park in the lot by the restaurant, which we did. Despite this, we continued to receive notices for various infractions, such as improper water hookup and not stopping completely in the neighborhood. This felt like borderline harassment. As responsible adults who strive to follow regulations, we were perplexed and frustrated by these continuous and unfounded accusations. Each time we sought clarification from the office, they dismissed our concerns, blaming"nosey neighbors" and suggesting neighborly disputes were at play. Ultimately, we were given a 30-day notice to vacate the property. This experience is particularly disappointing because we had suggested this park for our upcoming family reunion, which would have brought 47 rentals for a week. Now, I can't wait to leave this place. For anyone considering a short-term stay, this park may suffice. However, I strongly advise against bringing pets unless you want to be harassed and falsely accused. For those seeking a long-term rental, avoid this park at all costs, as you will face weekly harassment. Furthermore, we had several packages confirmed as delivered to the“receptionist/front desk,” which mysteriously went missing, apparently mishandled by the staff. Our initial excitement to be part of the Road Runner community has completely dissipated. I am eager to leave and will never return. I do not recommend this park and will be warning others. 0/10.---

    Tent folk: bring earplugs

Arrived here for a three-night tent stay at spot 153. The campground is easily accessible from the highway, and a breeze to check in. Friendly staff. Dumpsters behind the main office. All roads are one-way counterclockwise. The bathroom and laundry room are about 100 meters from spot 153. Both are clean. There's a nice pavilion overlooking the water inside the eastern loop. There's a good size, fenced-in, leash-free dog park next to the water. The water views are beautiful at sunrise. There's a pier for fishing and just serene eastern observation toward Cape Canaveral. There's a kayak launch ramp as well.

Spot 153 was perfectly partially shaded, with a mix of sand and grass, and it was level. The only critters seen here are playful squirrels. RV spots can be quite close to each other, but not many of their inhabitants were seen outside during these chilly, mid-December days when the temperature dipped to 40F at night, and high 50's in the day. All spots have electric and picnic table. The water spigot at 153 was about two inches from the ground. Why?

The only downside of the campground is its proximity to railroad tracks and airport. The noise seemed to be constant on weekdays.

    Love this park, Dog friendly

It is so nice, right on the Indian river. There is a large fenced Dog Park on the riverfront. Near Titusville, FL. You can see Kennedy Space Center across the water.
