Joy RV Park operates as a no-frills stopover just off I-95 in Cocoa, with level sites and full hookups that accommodate RVs up to 65 feet. The campground focuses on practical amenities rather than resort features, providing water, electric, and sewer connections at every site along with clean restrooms, showers, and a pool for cooling off in Florida's heat.

Sites offer wide spacing and easy access, though reviewers consistently note the complete lack of shade across the property. Maria Mercedes M. found it "safe, quiet enough at night, and manageable for families" despite the open layout. The front office staff receives praise for helpfulness, and the facility includes a clubhouse with WiFi that works well for remote work or schoolwork needs.

The location provides direct interstate access for day trips to Melbourne, Orlando, and Daytona Beach, with a Sam's Club nearby for supplies. Several campers have spotted rocket launches from their sites, taking advantage of the Space Coast proximity. Road conditions within the park can be rutted, and the grounds show ongoing maintenance efforts with debris removal and fence painting projects.

For RV travelers wanting more amenities, Sonrise Palms RV sits less than a quarter-mile away with additional features.

There is something comforting about pulling into a place that feels simple and straightforward after a long day, and JOY RV Park in Cocoa has that kind of easygoing charm, tucked just off I-95 with a modest layout of mostly level sites, wide enough spacing and full hookups that make settling in feel quick and stress-free. The campground leans more practical than resort-style, but with clean restrooms, a pool, laundry, and a small clubhouse, it covers the essentials well and while there is not a playground and shade can be limited (OK, to be honest, there's no shade anywhere, which is important to note, because you're in FL!), it still felt safe, quiet enough at night, and manageable for families. We grabbed a casual dinner nearby at The Filling Station Cafe (which was awesome) and let the boys wind down with snacks while talking about rockets and hoping to spot one of those famous Space Coast launches, which somehow made the whole stop feel a little more special. I would recommend this campground for families looking for a convenient, no-fuss place to stay thanks to its EZ access, full hookups, and proximity to beaches and space-themed adventures nearby.

Great Customer Service and Location!

We've had the pleasure of staying at both site 185 and 11, and our experience was delightful with both choices! The front office staff consistently exudes helpfulness and politeness. Each site is equipped with water hookups, electric connections, and sewage facilities. What's impressive is that these amenities are available on every site, setting them apart as the most competitively priced campground in the vicinity—my thorough research of other options confirms this. Notably, JOY RV offers the flexibility of both short-term and long-term stays, a versatility that distinguishes them from neighboring campgrounds. On top of that, they provide onsite storage options, complimentary wifi, a refreshing pool, impeccably maintained showers and restrooms, and a convenient laundry facility. For those requiring a peaceful environment to focus on tasks like schoolwork or professional assignments, the spacious and tranquil clubhouse proves to be a valuable asset—I, personally, take full advantage of this convenience. The campground enjoys a strategic location with a nearby Sam's Club for shopping convenience. Plus, its direct access to the interstate simplifies travel to Melbourne(approximately 30 minutes away), Daytona Beach(roughly an hour's drive), and even Orlando(merely 45 minutes away). It's undeniable that this location is prime. In our quest for the perfect camping spot, stumbling upon JOY RV was a stroke of luck. Without reservation, we wholeheartedly endorse it to fellow travelers seeking a phenomenal experience.

Nice park

We stayed two nights hoping to see the space shuttle launch. We were unable to since it was postponed but the ladies at the front desk were very nice. They allowed a late check out just in case the shuttle did launch. The sites were large however had a lot of ruts. The grounds were not very well manicured although there were people working to try to freshen up the place. We saw debris being loaded into trucks and someone was painting the fence. This place has a lot of potential. The town of Cocoa was lovely.
