Coulter Bay Campground is located on Jackson Lake just across from the Grand Tetons. It an incredibly beautiful place to camp.

The camp grounds are a bit tight especially if you stay in the RV Park. We stayed in the campsite side and all the sites are either campsite or pull-through for RV.

If you're an RV'r take note: not all sites are created equal so make sure your rig will fit on the site that you reserve.

Dump stations are clean and well maintained as are the sites. If you get a site with hook-ups be very careful about how you back-in so the you don't damage the utilities.

This is a very popular RV park and, besides it's idyllic beauty it has Cabins, a general store, a convenience store with gas, there's a propane refill station, showers and a laundry-mat, as well as a restaurant on site.

... and there are lots of great hiking trails and opportunities for taking great photos.

All-in-all you and your family are really going to love this campground.

P.S Did I mention that its only 18min to the south entrance to Yellowstone and even more idyllic beauty? ... yeah you gotta go there!

Stayed here on Sept 18, 2024. Paid $10 with senior pass. Pretty campground. Lots of pine trees. Some pull-throughs and some back-ins. Gravel campground road; may be tight in places for big rigs. Sites are dirt surface. Some leveling required. Campground accommodates tents, car camping, vans and RVs. Don't recommend large towables. Hammock camping possible. More than one vault toilet; reasonably clean and stocked. Hand water pumps, but shut off. Trash dumpsters, but locked. Some sites have easy access to the Snake River for fishing. Each site has a table, bear box, metal fire ring, and grill. Highway noise, loud at times. $20 is too high for a national forest campground fee when the water is shut off and the trash dumpsters are locked. Site 9 is large but received some odor from the nearby vault toilet. Campground host was friendly. This campground is probably a destination campground for fly fishing on the Snake River; otherwise, it's just okay for an overnight stay.

This campground sits right outside Grand Teton National Park. It is a beautiful campground and quiet. I had a handicapped spot next to the bathroom and had electric hookups. No water at the site, no showers in the restroom area. There is a dump station on the way out - you have to reserve it. Paths to walk your dogs, friendly staff. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site; they do sell firewood there. I was fortunate enough to be able to book a spot just a few weeks in advance during the busy summer season. Highly recommend this campground if you are visiting the Grand Tetons.

We are full-timers in a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow and having been fairly remote for a while, needed to hit a few big box stores to stock up in things. The CG is undergoing and expansion and is the area we stayed in, which got rather sloppy when it rained. We were in site W-5 for 2 days in late July. This area is all gravel and only a few of the sites were complete enough to be open. The sites all looked very level, but are open. All of the pull-through sites, existing and expansion, are oriented such that every other pair pull through in opposite directions and share utilities, which results in slide-outs only being a few feet apart in most cases. The new back-in sites along the periphery are roomier in between. There is a little road noise from US-20, but not excessive. AT&T coverage good, with 4 Bars of LTE with service up to 14.5 MB/s. They have a tower right across the highway. The CG WiFi was decent with speeds up to 1.8 MB/s, but generally in the 100s of MB/s. We were able to get DISH coverage on all three western satellites at our site. There were 13 OTA channels to be had with our fixed omni antenna.

Beautiful campground in Grand Teton National Park. Very close to the iconic Oxbow Bend. The sites are spacious and mostly level. Some sites have electricity. There is a dump station in the area, and potable water you can fill tanks with. The sites are not very long so most trailers need to detach from the tow vehicle. The campground sits right on Jackson Lake. Deer, elk, and foxes can often been seen in the area. The bathrooms were clean with running (very cold) water. There were no hand dryers or towels in the bathrooms which seemed strange but at least there was heat. There are public showers but they were closed for the season when I stayed. I had spotty service with Verizon. The nearby Lodge has a nice restaurant, gift store and small general store. There was also a small sink for visitors to dump gray water.

Wow I have fallen in love with this campground. We stayed in the Rv area with full hook-ups and a good sized site which was gravel with a picnic bench and surrounded by shade. There was no fire pit but they did offer some close to the beach which is a minute away from our campsite. The only WiFi and cell service is at the bar and laundry area but it’s kind of nice to just step away from them. There is a gift shop, grocery store, laundry with showers, visitor center, gas station, propane fill, pizza parlor(yummy), bar/restaurant, and a marina offering boat and kayak rentals(1st come 1st serve). There are tons of activities to do in the area along with hiking trails, rentals, guided fishing, wildlife viewing, photo ops everywhere and A FAMILY OF BLACK BEARS that frequent the area. There is also jr ranger classes and religious services on Sunday. Our family truly enjoyed our stay and would come again

Trying to reserve a site during the first summer following COVID lockdown was tricky and required us to stay in multiple standard non-electric sites over the course of five days. While our trailer arrangement didn’t require electricity and water, in hindsight it would have been worth trying to stay in the separate full hookup section of the campground.

The sites are mostly pull through which is fine as long as your site is on the passenger right (passenger) side of the one-way road. Otherwise, your living quarters side will be facing the road instead of the inner campsite. Due to emergency evacuation policy, camp staff/rangers prohibit you from parking your rig against the flow of traffic.

The bathrooms are dated but typical of a big national park. Showers are not provided at the bathhouse; you have to pay for them at the central Colter Bay visitor center/store.

Sites (the pull through) are mostly level, but not true for tent pads within the interior of the sites. A lot of the sites in loop A seemed to have suffered moderate erosion resulting in exposed roots.

Cell service is essentially non-existent and only available at the visitor center.

Strict on checkout times, but that’s understandable with the number of people trying to get into the park.

CG is centrally located to make for a relatively easy travel time to Jenny Lake or north to Yellowstone.
