Aspen groves in the middle of Idaho farm country give Yellowstone Golf Resort at Aspen Acres RV Park a distinctive character that sets it apart from the typical roadside RV stop. The campground sits east of campgrounds near Ashton, surrounded by rolling agricultural fields, and the aspen canopy at many sites provides a degree of natural separation between rigs. Getting here takes some attention: at least one reviewer notes that GPS routing can send drivers down back roads, so confirming directions in advance is worth the effort.
Sites come with full hookups, including electric, water, and sewer, and accommodate RVs up to 50 feet. Fire rings are at each site. The campground also runs an 18-hole par-3 golf course, which keeps the grounds active but, toward the end of the season, tends to thin out. Reviewers consistently note clean bathrooms and showers. The laundry facility has one washer and one dryer, so timing matters if that is part of the plan.
"So quiet and clean bathrooms and showers," wrote Jim M., summing up what several reviewers echoed about the overall upkeep.
Campers have used the location as a base for exploring nearby rivers. It is worth noting that the drive to Yellowstone National Park is long enough that several reviewers do not consider this a practical staging point for that destination. For a different setup in the area, Targhee National Forest Warm River Campground provides a public-land alternative about five miles north.
Description
Formerly known as Aspen Acres our campground is a retreat back to nature. No glaring streetlights, no cement pavement…just nature at its serene, peaceful finest (with full hookups!). Check out of the hectic life and get in touch with your inner calm. The RV park is located on 100 acres of an original Eastern Idaho homestead. The park has convenient paved access from all major highways in the area. Tents are also welcome Yellowstone Golf’s course is an 18 hole executive course with views of the Grand Teton and Centennial Mountains in addition to pastoral settings and the large Aspen grove. The combination of tee to green elevation changes, dog legs, narrow fairways and undulating greens make the mountain view course the most challenging 18 hole course in Fremont County. Clubs, Push Cart and Motorized Cart rentals available at the check-in desk. Have friends who don't RV? Our cozy one-room cottage(with a loft) provides accomodations with all the modern comforts, yet with a feel of a mountain cabin among the aspens and pines. Great location near our 18-hole executive golf course.
