Secluded spot next to the creek

We were surprised to find this nice little spot next to the creek right outside of town. There’s a spot right next to it but was unoccupied while we were there so we were all alone. The road noise is kind of annoying but the area is beautiful. We had shade all day at our spot, but spent a lot of time on the historic rail trail that you can get to straight from the property. The bugs weren’t as bad as we thought they were going to be. The spots up top are pretty open as far as privacy and no shade. Not really our style because our camper already attracts enough attention. The bathrooms were fine, the shower is an annoying push button that only stays on for a few seconds.

Worth a Night or Two

There’s not much to the site. The basics are here for RV sites but no water available for primitive tent camping. The fire pits have no grill and there is little shade. There is a creek side camping but the water is slow moving which mean a breeding ground for mosquitoes. The open field is nice but lack of shade will have you sweating by 7am. Still the site is low cost and the people are nice and friendly. The showers and bathroom leave much to be desired but are a welcome site after a long day in the sun.
