Super relaxing and easy camping

My husband stayed here as a kid and wanted to revisit it. It was a great stay! Very easy going place and so well kept up. Some of the cleanest camp bathrooms and showers I have seen. A small amusement park to the side (very local and quiet sound never bothered us) and a small creek to the back of it. Off a busy road but never heard any traffic at all - guess they are far enough away. Was a tranquil little spot right in the thick of it so kind of perfect! Peaceful grounds and friendly people. Pretty perfect and highly recommend. Weather was sublime. Easy to drive to bird in hand too!

Dishonest Pokicie

I have camped here for seven years with a national organization, RV Women. When OMS was bought out, they did not control their policies anymore. I cancelled a June visit in February, and local management said they processed a refund for my deposit, but I have not received it. Local mgt will not follow up or talk to me. I find their actions unethical and beyond unprofessional. I am out this money because this campground was dishonest. I recommend camping elsewhere in Lancaster. Other campgrounds are more reputable.

So far so good

This RV campground is for families for sure. Right next to the theme park, but still super quiet. Wifi is a big pain so beware. Sites are tight, so know in advance how your going to park etc.

Ideal for locals

We love this campground for tent camping. Tent sites are lined up along the water which is great for fishing (especially when you need to stay close to the littles sleeping in the tent). Lots of benches lined up along the water. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. There is also a playground in the middle of the tent site line, along with a basketball court. It’s not terribly exciting but it serves its purpose.

Great location on route 30, tons and tons of shopping, restaurants, tourist attractions nearby within a 5 minute drive. Lots of 24 hour places in case there was a middle of the night emergency since the little store closes fairly early, it also opens fairly late.

Being attached to Dutch wonderland is great too. It’s awesome to not have to drive home after a day of being at an amusement park.

Nice Campground

Campground was nice and the staff was friendly. Had a station that offered free air but unfortunately it was broken with no signage indicating that it was broken so we had to drive to a gas station. Great morning views from site 103.

Nice campground, horrible smell from cattle farms

The overwhelming impression of this campground was the smell of cow manure from the nearby dairy farm feedlot. The smell was not present the first day or so we were there and we enjoyed sitting outside in the afternoon, but when the wind shifted the horrid smell drove us inside during the rest of our visit. The campground itself is nice but a bit overpriced for what you get.  If it weren't for the smell, this campground would have gotten four stars.

The campground is associated with Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park which is just a short walk away. Other than the smell, the park was nice. If you reserve online you can see the availability and pick your site which is always a nice feature. They also have pictures of each campsite on the website so you really know what you are getting. Camping options include tent sites, water and electric sites, and full hookup sites. There are also numerous cabins and park models for rent.  The price of $45/night (high season) for a tent site with no hookups seems pretty steep to me.  We chose site 302 which was at the far end of the campground away from the amusement park. During our stay, the amusement park was closed so the park was not very crowded and there was no noise associated with the park. Our campsite was perfectly level and had a large gravel patio area and a large shade tree behind us.  The site was plenty long for our 45' RV and tow car.  Each site has a firepit and picnic table. There were over 50 cable channels and all the hookups were well-placed and worked well. Our nightly price was $61/night.

There is a small, slow flowing river that runs along the front of the park which some people play in and float down in inner tubes. Personally, I would not get in the river because of all the agricultural runoff that is probably in it and it was pretty stagnant in places. There are some nicely shaded sites along the rivers edge and numerous trees scattered throughout the park which provides shade.  Other amenities include a small camp store, playground, laundry, bathhouse, dump station, horseshoes, basketball court, and propane fill.

The campground is in a good location to Lancaster and other quaint Amish towns like Bird-In-Hand, Paradise, and Intercourse. Just a little bit north of the campground is the beautiful town of Lititz which is definitely worth a visit. Not too far from the campground is a county park which has a short walking path, a botanical garden, and playground.

Clean and convenient

Very convenient to go to Dutch Wonderland. Not much to do in the campsite so your entertainment has to be elsewhere. There is only a playground for the kids. Otherwise we liked our site and the campground was quiet. This is not a partying campground. Amish came through and were selling their goods on a horse and carriage. WiFi was horrible. It appears you are only allowed one device per campsite. I called their help desk and he reset their system but it still did not work for us.

Nice campground walking distance from Dutch Wonderland!

Nice campground with a creek that runs along the backside of the campground! Even though the amusement park wasn’t open yet, kids still had a good time! The grounds are clean and there’s also a small playground and basketball court!

Quaint little campground

Literally off the same parking lot as Dutch Wonderland. It's really small but very pleasant... Not to noisy being next to a theme park. The bath house was just remodeled so it's excellent! Good price!

Family camping close to Dutch Wonderland

Family cabins available, tent sites are small. Clean parks with a small stream. Next to Dutch Wonderland, showers are nice, laundry facilities available. Enjoyed our time but only because we were going to the park, not a campground to visit if your looking for quiet and isolation.

Great Acces to Dutch Wonderland

Clean campground with great access to Dutch Wonderland, outlets and other Lancaster County tourist attractions. Nice creek to fish in but other than a small playground (with broken equipment) not much else in other amenities. An Amish buggy comes through with some great baked goods.
