Nice location close to the park

When we first checked in at the resort, we enjoyed the easy check-in and the location was an easy to get to location. After checking in, we drove all around the campground just to get to our site which is a little out-of-the-way, but it was manageable. Our site was very unlevel, but we made it work. We did like being at the end of the road therefore there was less traffic coming through. we didn’t have a neighbor who had a lot more tents than they were supposed to have on their site and they were slowly encroaching on our site. We loved how our kids were able to walk to the playground and play every day before our outings. The campground had two pools and a child’s pool the pools seemed to be slightly under maintained the last day. It had a weird smell, which I believe the chlorine levels were not correct. However, we still enjoyed our time here and went to the pool almost every day at the end of the day off. It was one of the hottest days of the year. I feel like we still had a great time and enjoyed the camp. The trolley was a great addition to getting to and from the Hershey attractions

Very tight spots and dirty!!

This RV camping spot has been my least liked place we have ever stayed.we stayed in a RV site so I can only speak to that and not cabins. The ONLY good thing this RV park has going is the Hersey park bus that runs all day back and forth. Even though the bus is very loud and drives very close to the sites, so it is a constant disturbance too if your looking for some calm and quietness. This is not the right RV park if you want quite!

These RV sites are the tightest I have ever seen. So tight that the people next to you using a picnic table or fire ring are 3-4 feet from your camper. We didn’t even use our fire pit and table because it felt so incredibly close to our neighbor. Inside our camper I could hear every word of the people next to us who were using their fire ring, it was directly outside my bedroom slide. I saw several people including us being asked to move trucks just so you can get into position to hook up and pull out of your spot!

And the sites are dirty! Littered with cigarette butts, trash, old rusty batteries! This place looks and feels like a dirty trailer park! There were several sites that looked like the campers had been living there a long time, clothes lines strung up from trees, cluttered mess of personal belongings. We will never stay here again after experiencing it. The website does not show the true picture!!

Great park!

We had a great experience at Hersheypark Campground! If you’re planning on going to the amusement park, there is a shuttle on site that takes you straight to the park.

The spots are a little small, at least in the section where we stayed, but we have a small travel trailer so we didn’t have any issues. The bathrooms were clean and large. The store has just about anything you would need while visiting.

The security guard patrols the park at night, and he was very nice!

We were only visiting for a quick trip, but we would definitely stay here again!

The only downside was that since it was winter, we didn’t have water hookup.

Great location

If you are planning on going to Hershey Park or Chocolate world this is the place to stay. They have a shuttle that runs frequently bringing guests to the park. There are definitely some very small sites here, as mentioned by other reviews. We stayed on site 99 which is actually a pretty good size. With 2 kids being close to the pool and basketball court was great. There is a freight train that runs next to the park. It is loud but it didn’t bother us. It wouldn’t deter me from returning.

At least it has a shuttle

I really don’t see how anyone could write this place higher than a Three to be honest. The spaces are so tight I could almost touch, my neighbors, RV, and mine without taking a step. pulling into the spot, my back and swung and broke the light off on somebody’s tire because there’s not enough space to even drive down the lane.

During the summer, the pool closes at 7 PM. No exceptions.

Most campgrounds this size will at least build a comfort station and laundry facility in the sections. Not here.

The pads are not as level as I saw in someone else’s s review. Our wheelspan from front to back has at least a 6 inch slope. There are several Class As on our row with wheels a couple of inches off the ground.

On a positive note, the grounds are well kept and most of their buildings and equipment are in good shape. They do have a sand volleyball court and a basketball court.

Hershey Park Shuttle!

My friend chose this campground for the shuttle to Hershey Park. We were in site 130 which has electric & water and it’s right on the creek- very nice & quiet- the bathhouse is also near. The campground staff do a great job of keeping the grounds & buildings clean. The pools are nice & there are lifeguards. The playground is lacking. There are some annoying old fashioned rules in place, but all in all a nice place that I’d come again.

Not a resort

Not one of the nicer campgrounds I’ve been to. Very tight spots and could barely get in and out of the site. Trees at the ends of the sites not giving much of a turning radius and roads are narrow. People started playing music/karaoke at 10:45pm . The pool area was pretty plain. Some of the sewer hook ups appear to be like a foot off the ground. The people in the store are very nice but watch you like you are stealing. The only good thing about the place is a shuttle to the park. I would not come back.

You have to get the right campsite

We were across the campground from the train, and when it came by, the Earth shook. You have to be willing to make compromises to get a good spot.

The bath house was super clean.

My only complaint was that it was 90°F plus, but the pool was not open. There were plenty of kids playing in the stream to cool off.

We'll be back there next year if only to camp. It was a great facility, and I wish they all measured up to Hershey Park's standards.

Will definitely be back

This campground is family friendly. The sites are not all cramped together and the campground is huge. There is a very well stocked store. They don’t sell alcohol but there is a shopping center within walking distance with restaurants and liquor stores! Even a supermarket. There is shuttle service to the park. Great stay all around, highly recommended it.

Could have been better

We stayed here one night on our way up to Maine (we paid for two nights because of the two-night minimum). The tent area was okay. The sites along the river seem to be the best. We had one a closer to the store and bathrooms that had a bit of a slope to it. If that bothers you, choose a flatter site by the river. The bathrooms/showers were very clean, and there’s a great store that carries plenty of camping essentials (and nonessentials). The staff is incredibly friendly, too.

The problem is that they allow 18-wheeler tractors to park in the tent area overnight, and they don’t monitor these vehicles during the quiet hours. We had one park in the site right next to us (maybe 15 feet away from our tent). He played music until well after midnight, and then he started his truck at 2:00 AM and ran it for about 30-45 minutes. He then started it again at 6:00 AM and kept it running for another 20-30 minutes before finally driving off. I understand that parking in a campground might be “better than a truck stop” (his words) for the trucker, but it certainly isn’t for the people in tents. My issue, of course, is with the man driving the truck, but it’s also with the campground for (1) allowing a tractor to park in that area and (2) not monitoring the noise. It was a very restless night.

Something for Every Type of Camper!

This campground has a little something for everyone, from full hook up sites neatly stacked next to each other, to quiet patches of grass next to the river. After spending two nights up in the electrical hook-up area closest to the train tracks, we decided that we needed a better night’s sleep. Yes, the trains run all night long, and no, we don’t have air conditioning so couldn't just close the windows. So, we moved down to one of the primitive sites next to the river and enjoyed ourselves much more, plus all the solar we needed.

With all the options within this resort, I can understand why it is so popular. Plus, there’s the whole Hershey Park with shuttles running to and from the campground all day long. So, it’s got that going for it. As a campground resort this park aims to serve everyone. If you need your trash picked up, just leave the garbage bag in front of your site, and someone will be along soon enough to collect it. The bathrooms are immaculate, air conditioned, but many of the showers had wonky temperature controls so check it out before you commit.  Each bathroom building also offers laundry machines to take care of those necessities as well. The campground has a large playground, game room, gift shop and a large outdoor pool.

Nearby, closer than you might even want, you can find food, groceries, gas, booze and traffic (at least during convention center event weekends). But there are also some really cool mom and pop restaurants, some craft beverage drinkeries, and places to walk, bike and get into some disc golf. This is close enough to be a bedroom community of Harrisburg, so the park is basically located in a tucked away corner of suburbia. If you have the time, go to the Grandview Winery nearby they have a lovely selection of vintages which really hold up to this wine snob’s approval.

The campsites are well spaces apart, unless within the central loop, and give the allure of being tucked away in the forest. Water is well spaced and is close by. The walk to the bathroom however, can be a stretch depending on where you park so plan according to your needs. But the woods provide an easy way to answer the call! : )

Quiet and spacious site

We stayed on Lazy River Rest “loop” in site L113 which was spacious and sunny. There were trees in the back along the creek that shaded the picnic table a little. This part of the campground is quiet. In the front area it’s very close together and crowded. The area up on the hill in the back is next to the CSX train track that runs 24/7. Lazy River Rest does flood when it rains and our relatives had to relocate their first night until it dried out. We found a brewery, Trogues, that was cool with good food and beer. It was next to the outlets. There is a shuttle to Hershey Park. The campground has a pool but was closed when we were there. There is a camp store with lots of Hershey goods for sale and a small camping supply section. There was a community fire pit over by the pool. To bathhouse was centrally located and clean. There was a dish washing station too. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip.

The official Hershey Park Campground

This is a great campground right at Hershey Park. It had a free shuttle to the park and Chocolate World! Nice sites, but some are pretty close together. Right on a small creek. Most sites are in the shade. Cabins look nice. The arcade barn is a must see for the kids!

Nice facilities, clean campground

We camped right up against the lazy River, the campground was pretty open because it was a weekday. Spots are kind of close, no trees or anything to separate spots. We’re used to that now haha. It had really nice bathrooms and showers. The washers and dryers work awesome, grateful for that! We paid $29 for a no hook up tent site. Very happy with our stay!

Nice campground across the street from Hersheypark

This was our first campground with our camper. They had pull through sites which I was looking for. Sites were a bit close where we were but they had other sites that were more spread out. Nice pool and great camp store! Unfortunately we weren’t able to do much with the pandemic if full effect. But may be a campground we head back to once everything is back up and running.

Great Time

It is a nice camp ground but the lower drive threw spots are packed together. Our 32' with slides just fit the sight and we had zero room for the truck. They have other spots up on the hill but would have been more of a challenge with our rig. Very clean grounds, clean pool, nice camp store and a short drive to all of the Hershey Park activities. We will visit again.
