GuideI've overnighted in my van here a bunch, no problems. This spot is both part of the Appalachian Trail and a day hiking area for the Bake Oven Knob, which is a high point on the Blue Mountain ridge of the Appalachian Mountains near Germansville, Pennsylvania. There are two large lots. You can park and sleep, or hike in and find a place for a tent. There's also a trail shelter about a .5 mile in, but I haven't been to that. The hike to the overlook is really lovely; short and rocky.

GuideThe name says it all. It has boulders and woods. The spots are tight to get into but the staff will offer to park your camper using your vehicle. I let them park mine and I'm really glad I did. It was super tight. Gorgeous place though. They also have a disc golf course and they rent and sell discs. That's where we fell in love with disc golf.

GuideStayed here 2 nights without a reservation. We were in the D loop which is rustic with no hookups. Quiet, very few people mid-week. Spacious sites. Bathrooms were just okay. Muddy floors - don’t know how often floors are cleaned. Showers were odd - one large stall but no separate dressing area so you have to be very careful so as not to get your stuff wet during the shower. I would stay here again.
TravelerArrived mid-afternoon, visitor center/Ranger office was closed, our reservation sheet was available in a mailbox near the door with instructions. No human contact. Park was not mowed, seemed a little rough & unattended. Our full hookup site was large with table and fire ring, and required some leveling. Not much shade in the full hookup loop, so was happy to have electricity for A/C. The beach was a little more than a half mile walk from our site.
ScoutLots of good things here. Large sites, new buildings, including the office and all the bathrooms. Only thing missing is a pool. You’re not allowed to swim in the lake although you’re allowed to use floats. The area has not much to do unless you would like the state park, which is close by. Kind of surprised they allow fireworks, as we were here on July 4 weekend. Would definitely come back.
