We stayed in loop C that allows pets. Very spacious sites. The paved parking spot was tight but a short walk down to the spacious fire pit picnic table area.

    Great stay

A beautiful spot with plenty of space, a fire pit with grill and a table. We came in late on a Saturday after it was dark and couldn’t figure out where it was, the location on the map is slightly wrong. To get directions google maps to Deer Woods Campground. We paid the ranger in the morning, he said they upped the price to $50 if you are from out of county so that was a bummer.

    Tohickon Family Campground

Its ok. Nothing special about it.

We recently went camping with a tent there. Not tent friendly first night we slept on rocks second night we got moved to a spot which actually had some grass. Everything has weird hours. The cafe is only open on weekends and the store is only open from like 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. and that's it. The pool hours are good they're from 11:00 to 7:00. The bath houses are fine. It's just that there's nothing to do in the morning time nothing at all the lake that you want to call it or river it was all green like there's better campsites out there but this one isn't that bad If you're just staying for a night or two but just do not use a tent.

    Hidden Amish Country Gem

This resort is a lot bigger than you would anticipate from the road/entryway. Tons of amenities for families including mini golf, an arcade, pools, fishing ponds, etc. Not to mention live music on the weekends! Some of the facilities are a bit worn down, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time.

    Great for a weekend

206 Campsite unleveled, but plenty of room. No water or electric hookup at this site. Some privacy, but not completely secluded. A reasonable distance to the bathroom. Showers were great! Bathroom was somewhat clean. It has a nice lake and good views. It's currently under construction/renovations many other areas. Overall great place and would stay again!

    Pequea Creek Campground

    Peaceful, beautiful location

Beautiful picturesque campground with large spots and a lot of trees. Very quiet and close enough to Lancaster for shopping. Covered bridges and road side shopping are close by. Enjoyed river tubing which is close by to this campground. Music bingo on Saturday night was so much fun. Owners are very nice and helpful.

Bath house is located at top of steep hill and bathrooms were not very clean. So if you don’t have a camper to use, you might not like the bath house situation.

I would definitely stay here again due to the beauty and quietness of the camp sites. Thanks Lori and John for a great 4th of July extended weekend!

    Overall nice

This is a first come first serve campground in terms of picking sites. I made a reservation months in advance, but it only guaranteed me a site. By the time I arrived all the full hookups were taken and I was stuck with a water and electric which is the same price as full hookup apparently. I did manage to find a nice spot which had no other sites on either side. It has plenty of grass and the hookups were close. It’s a very large campground, but the pool was clean and nice. They offer tons of activities too on the weekends at least. We stayed here for chocolate world and it was about a 20 minute drive to there. The only negative was the first come First serve for sites and paying the same as a full hookup site.

    French Creek State Park Campground

    Unique campsites

Staying in C loop and here are some tips. If you want starlink, stay toward the entrance of the loop for a good view of the sky. If you want to be away from everyone and don't need a site that has good accessibility, stay in C27. You park at the top of the site and walk your tent and gear down a small slope where you can set up your tent. A little further down is a large-ish area with a fire pit and table. You can't see the roady from there and it looks like a great place to get away from it all!

Other sites around C27 have similar set-ups but not so far off the road.

    FANTASTIC Campground!!

FANTASTIC Campground!! Its close proximity to the Susquehanna River, Otter Creek, and the Mason Dixon Trail is absolutely ideal! Sites are spacious and nice! Restrooms clean! Showers good; cost 50¢ for 6 min, but that's fine...ensures enough hot water for everyone and no waste. Most of all, I really liked the campground managers, Scott and Mandy!! They are extremely helpful and friendly, and all around great people!!

    Super relaxing and easy camping

My husband stayed here as a kid and wanted to revisit it. It was a great stay! Very easy going place and so well kept up. Some of the cleanest camp bathrooms and showers I have seen. A small amusement park to the side (very local and quiet sound never bothered us) and a small creek to the back of it. Off a busy road but never heard any traffic at all - guess they are far enough away. Was a tranquil little spot right in the thick of it so kind of perfect! Peaceful grounds and friendly people. Pretty perfect and highly recommend. Weather was sublime. Easy to drive to bird in hand too!

Larege, agressive group of threatening nasty camper bullies, defended by owner

I experienced an encounter with a hostile, aggressive group of campers that has never happened to me before. I was grabbed by two big hands, turned and thrown to the ground, face in the dirt, by a large man for leaning on his car. I was not aggressive or trespassing on their campsite, or loud, or harrassing them. I walked my dog on the edge of his campsite, which he gave me permission to do. He taunted me as i walked the dog. On my way out, (It is a dead end), i rested my elbow on his car, facing him, so i could figure out what was going on and how to talk to him. I did not deserve to be assaulted. I did not fight back, nor say anything nasty or threatening after the incident. I think the owner of the campground should apologize to me.

    Loved our stay!

Lori was great with booking process, the general store has ice, and anything else you could forget. They deliver firewood to your site. We brought our 7 year old and we visited the playgrounds, hiked the trails and explored the creek area. Boat ramp near by, we had site 54 which was nice and private. Site had fire ring, picnic table, water and electric. 25 mins from dt Lancaster which we visited as well. I’d definitely stay there again.

    friendly & easy check inn

Thousand Trails Hershey is huge! Sites were first come, first served which was a little weird for us but wasn’t a problem. Sites came with full hook ups, picnic table and fire pit. The bathhouse was clean, but the water was the kind that you had to push and hold the lever in order for the water to run. Doing this during a shower is pretty inconvenient. The park has a ton of amenities that I imagine are great for long termers, but for us being a. Quick stay, we often pick places on having the convenience of a bathroom and when that’s not convenient 🤷🏻‍♀️. Also, upon check in you are given several pieces of paper explaining all of the rules which I found a little much and just not necessary. Overall, it was a clean and picturesque campground.

Quiet and Simple in a good way

The campground is very clean, nice spots with gravel and nice views. The store was stocked well with essentials, and the women running the store was very helpful and friendly. The campground is very well lit and can be navigated easily at night. The bathhouse was clean and only 1 bout of cold water why showering but a quick on and off of the water did the trick. The only downfall for us was the limited things to do with a child. They have a swinger but nothing else. It's hard to entertain on rainy days.

    Snall campground, big sites

Nice smaller campground with large spacious sites. Very level and spaced apart from neighbor is you pick the right spots. We were in 17 which looked out to open space and woods. If it rains, some sites are flooded. Not much going on for activities in March. Near an Ape Adventure park, hike around lake, and any shopping or restaurants you might want are close by. It rained heavy so we didn’t get out much but walk around camp loop is nice and flat.

    New Years Eve weekend

Been here many times over the years. Most recently stayed New Years Eve weekend. Had a homeless couple living in a pop up camper next to use but kept to themselves. Park Rangers drove through constantly at least 10 times a day slowly looking into our site. Sites are extremely close together in some areas. The layout sometimes had it where the sites next to your had their fire ring behind your camper while other sites you could be 50 yards from the next site. In winter only a couple loops open and water is turned off. Most sites around the back of the loops are very rocky terrain and get very muddy when it rains.

    Nice Family Campground

This campground is definitely designed for young families. I booked last minute and had to make do with a primitive site which was downhill and a little bumpy. However, there are extremely nice bathrooms and a ton of things to do if you have children like playground, arcade and activities. It’s nice how close it is to downtown Jim Thorpe but it was a little too close together and family oriented for me as someone who travels only with young adults.
