Quakerwoods Campground

Stayed for over a month .very nice and roomy camp site .very close to poconos (golfers)and Lehigh Valley Bethlehem pa.

Reviews I read prior about strict 11pm quiet time is accurate. Silence at 11pm here. We have a pop-up with no bathroom so we use the bathhouses. Bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. Plenty of activities. General store ia well-stocked. Plenty of things for kids to do.

Nice wooded campground. Family oriented. Our site is roomy, others a bit closer. Clean sites and bathrooms. Quiet

First off, there is a community here. There are a bunch of seasonal folks but, they aren't territorial. The owner is great but, if you are looking for warm and being greeted with a hug, that's not her. The rest of the staff will hug you. They look at their guests as extentions of their community. The location is 90 minutes to NYC, 60 minutes to Philly and 20 minutes from Allentown and Bethlehem. Bucks County is a bit hard to explore and lower Bucks is a hike but, there is nothing closer. We will stop again for the easy access to everything.

The new owners are definitely working hard to improve but lots more to do. We have visited here a few times in the past four or five years and we see the improvements. The location is good for us since we live about 35 minutes away. The sites are level and there are often three point sites available. There is a pond to fish in and a small pool. Some activities throughout the weekend are available as well. Lots of older units and some not so maintained by the seasonals could help improve the experience.

The tent spots are pretty much on top of each other, not much privacy. It's next to a farm so the sunrise is pretty nice. The deliver firewood to your site, and the staff is friendly. If you are a fan of forced interaction with neighbors than this is your spot. Great spot for a preseason shake out or casual camping.

Owner was not friendly. And became even less friendly after she found out that I have 3 special needs boys. The staff were great. Nice place if it wasn't for that. My family and I will not be coming back here.

The place was clean with basic working amenities. Not necessarily a go to destination but would work as an ok layover spot.

I like it here. Cute place, far enough away from the city to be reasonably quiet, close enough to go get whatever you might need. Very friendly people. Sometimes gets crowded but still a great campground

The camp sites are very close together. Too Expensive for the small site you have. The owner is not very friendly.

We have visited Quakerwoods campground three years in a row with a large group including several kids. As a group of about 40, we typically take up the entire section of sites 101-105 during an annual Fall camping trip. The sites provide electric hook-up and water. We do not use cable access but it is available. The majority of this campground appears to be in use by seasonal campers and the section that we use as a group is somewhat separate from the rest of the campground. Truth be told, we have a group that can be somewhat rowdy with music into the night and they tolerate us well.

There appears to be a pool but it is not in use during our time there in October, although the kids have been able to enjoy a hayride and the Halloween decor that some of the seasonal campers display. Last year, we also caught a very good band performing in the campground. Just behind the campground is a pond that the kids love to visit and explore for fish, frogs and turtles.
