Nice campground with spacious campground sites. If you like hiking... this park is perfect! Hanging rock is a beautiful spot.. go early cuz it gets busy. Lots of waterfalls as well.
But if you want the lake you’ll have to pay extra per person to use. As well as rent boats & boards...…

I have stayed at Morrow Mountain many times over the last 10 years. It is close to home and very convenient for me. While the facilities are aged, they are clean and work well. And if you really want to be away it is great!! The cell service is very poor.

First at all do not trust what you see on the reservation page, completely fake! They have their own code book of rules that you will notice it once you are on site. Don’t think that they are going to give you a correct answer to your questions about their policy because each one of the workers…
We stayed at site 84, and stayed in a tent. There was a fire pit, hang hook for trash, and plenty of shade on the tent pad. We had plenty of space between each site as well. Bathrooms were fine with decent water pressure and hot water. I liked the idea of the campground host who was just a few…
Sites are very close together with just a small spot of outdoor personal space. The campground sits on a hillside with multiple gravel roads. Although the landscaping is nice, there’s no trees near any campsites for shade. It’s right near the main highway which is convenient, but also noisy. No…
Lots to do.... hiking, ride bicycle, fishing and off road or just relax and take in the beautiful surroundings! P.s. Dogs are welcome!

We stayed at this park for a couple nights. The bathroom facilities were nice, the spots were clean, we stayed during the week so it was empty. Might be a little too open if the campground is full. The overlook from the top of the “mountain” was beautiful.
Great open and spacious camping lots in the trees. They are also located along the hiking path for Moore's Wall and a short walk to the beach where you can swim out to a large floating platform or just hang out in the sand.

Not good camping if your in a tent
I guess my GPS needs updating since it took me down the wrong road to get to this state park, so if you haven’t updated your GPS, do it before you attempt to come here. Other than that, it’s not that difficult to find.
There are quite a few things to do at this state park. Hiking, horseback…

Really nice park with nice trails that aren't too challenging but also with just enough going on to keep them fun and interesting. We camped at Dispersed Hike to Site 1. The dispersed sites are really nicely spread out. Nice clean firepits. Standard pit toilets, just nice overall. This is a really…
Wide spaces with lots of room under big shade trees. This campground is a muni but is is very well maintained. It is convenient to the highway, clean bathrooms and next door to a 4 mile paved exercise path with mountain bike trails in the middle.
We stayed here while visiting friends who lived in the Salisbury area and stayed in Cabin 1. The cabins are REALLY nice, I was very impressed. We walked the RV sites and spotted several that were also very nice as well. They each seemed to offer a decent bit of privacy, which is nice. The pool was…
We stayed in July 2019. For a NC state park, some of the sites are a little close to each other. It is well known that NC parks do not allow alcohol, so we did not bring any.
The camp host was a little insulting with how they kept on checking on us over and over and over and reminding us that we…
