Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need reservations for Art Lilley Campground?

Reservations are not required for Art Lilley Campground as it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The campground is designed primarily for OHV users, and you'll need to purchase a permit to use the OHV trails - approximately $5 per day or $30 for a seasonal pass. While reservations aren't needed, the campground can get busy during peak riding seasons and weekends, so arriving early is recommended to secure a spot, especially if you're traveling with a larger group or multiple vehicles. Contact the managing agency for current permit information and any seasonal restrictions.

What amenities are available at Art Lilley Campground?

Art Lilley Campground offers minimal amenities as it's primarily designed for OHV enthusiasts. The campground is essentially an open field with ramps for unloading four-wheelers and other off-road vehicles. There are no water, electric hookups, or designated campsites. Basic bathroom facilities are available, though they may be primitive. For more extensive amenities like showers and dump stations, you'll need to visit a nearby campground where these services are available for a small fee (approximately $3 for showers). Prepare to be self-sufficient with your own water, food, and camping supplies.

Where is Art Lilley Campground located and how do I get there?

Art Lilley Campground is located in an OHV (Off-Highway Vehicle) recreation area. To reach the campground, you'll need to travel along dirt roads that can be bumpy and rough in places. The access road is somewhat challenging, so be prepared for a slower drive, especially if you're bringing a trailer or RV. The campground is positioned near other recreation areas, making it a good base for those planning to explore the surrounding trails. For exact directions, contact the managing agency as GPS directions may not be reliable in this remote location.
